World Peace

"World peace is an ideal of freedom, peace, and happiness among and within all nations."--founded from wikipedia...
Word peace: such a great thought, isn't it? Through the ideologies of groups such as Buddhism, M.A.D., and Cobdenism, world peace leads up to the exact same thing, but basically through different processes.
Debates have been held about how such could be accomplished, and many have spoken out about the subject (remember the 1960s?). The thought has given me, personally, the impression that world peace is a beautiful thing and could certainly make lives much more at ease. Not just American lives, but also the lives of people in Africa, the middle east, The UK--everywhere. But I do not think that such a thing could ever be accomplished. Well, at least not while I am alive.
I don't mean to but down any hopes for those who are actually taking this blog to heart and still actually believe in world peace, but honestly, I do find this as the truth. Why?
Take a look at the mentality of people such as radical Muslims and the KKK. I may not be a guru on their beliefs, but from word of mouth and previous events, I find it hard to believe that their mentality could really be able to consider world peace. If you want to read in a bit about them, then check it out here and here. World peace is knocked off thanks to this, and though there may be a day that it'll be stopped, there are still some customs in the middle east and other parts of the country where it is okay [in their minds, at the least] to do things like kill your daughter for being out late or raping someone because of your hatred towards who they are (not to say all rapes are for just that reason).
Even if those beliefs and groups were to be rid of somehow, most people are born and raised with so much anger and emotion that violence and arguements are nearly impossible to avoid. Thus why there are rules and regulations. If there are rules and regulations, there will be some form of rebellion. You just can't beat that. Of course, world peace might just be made for war--not the inside of a society, which is sad.
(I'll add more eventually. If you have any additional thoughts or comments/criticism to add, make it polite and constructive. I'm not going to consider your point unless you follow along with those two small rules.)
I'd like to thank BJ for helping me out with ideas for this blog.

We all want world peace. Of course.
But, we also want chaos. We, as humans, want our cake and to eat it too.
We don't act like it, but our flaws are what make everything interesting. If nothing bad ever went on, life be a bit boring. Of course, that doesn't mean I want people to go out and commit crimes. I'm just saying, peace is intangible.
Good blog, though.

I believe peace could never work. There will always be hate of some kind or another in the world. But that doesn't mean we can't hope for a more peaceful world. Also what would we do with ourselves if we had peace? What would FoxNews and CNN report? How happy everyone is? I still hope that someday there will be a happy safe world for us all.

I agree, World Peace is virtually impossible do to racisim and many other things. Some people just enjoy causeing pain, thus we have criminals. Countries will always have different veiws on politics and other issues thus we will always have wars.
Very Well Written Blog, BTW

Humans are imperfect, thats part of life. Its vital however that we constantly work towards that unobtainable perfection. If we don't try, then we can't progress. When you compare the world we have now to the racist, sexist, homophobic disaster zone that it was 100 years ago, we've made progress. Of course it will never be perfect, but that isnt an excuse to stop trying to make things better.
