questioning life
i don't get life. i mean, like everybody is supposed to have a purpose, right? they're supposed to be happy and live they way they want to and stuff like that. but what if some people don't get the chance to? what if things don't work out for them or they die at an early age? what if the people are poor and they aren't able to live out their dreams? is there a life after this one, or is this the only shot on the life we get? i don't know, just the whole concept confuses me.
some people don't even get to experience life. they might die right after birth, or just die during childhood. doesn't God have a say in who dies and who doesn't? can't he save the lives of innocent people who die everyday? can't he help those who are sick and who are poor. i know he does help them, but to me, not enough.
what really gets me is that anyone can die just like that. sometimes it's just their decision, or it's spontaneous. and that thought scares me. it could be someone really close to me or someone i don't even know, but still. there's this family at my church who recently just lost their mother. the family has 3 kids, ages 7, 9 and 15. their mother died of cancer 2 months ago. now everyone in our church was praying for her and the family, praying to God that He could save her. but that didn't work. and now the family is going through a very tough time, and they are angry at God for her death. i mean, couldn't God have saved her? she had 3 kids. 3! and they are so young to go through life without a mom. it's just not fair.
wow, i really went off on a rant there. feel free to comment. i was just expressing my opinion so feel free to criticize or express your thoughts

I believe in god but my thoughts of him being the all loving, kind god has weakended. I've looked at both sides of the same argument but to be honest I am still as confused as ever, the Bible is full of contradictions and is written with stiff morals of how our world should be run.
I believe that everything happens for a reason but the church isn't exactly welcoming to people who have their own thoughts on life and don't follow their live's by the book of christ.

i agree with you..life isnt fair.. and unfortunately thats how life works out.. nothing in life is fair. but everything happens for a reason, and most things are unexpected. but thats just how life turns out....its odd

Mmm, Sarah, tough situations there. I remember when you first told me about that mother's death; now that was horrible. Her kids are so young.
I see what you're getting at, about how why God doesn't save people. But I guess it's not really for us to know. Everything happens for a reason, so I guess we just have to accept what happens, even if it's a terrible tragedy.

I think that whatever you believe will happen to you.
If you believe in reincarnation, you'll be reincarnated. If you believe in dying and going to heaven if you're a good person, and hell if you're a bad one, that's what will happen to you.
{I love your icon, by the way :D}
