The life-span of the game is not known.

The capacity of NA's Siel or Israphel is 9000. You can see exact amount of online characters (for NA, RU and JP regions) by hovering your mouse over the bar with the percentage. Other regions do not have aion classic kinah exact numbers online or capacity of servers. They simply share percentages. However, you can calculate the capacity by using the search function within game. It will return up to 102 characters, so you need to split your results by class or maybe by levels if there are a lot of players online. Last time I tried it for the EU Stormwing Stormwing server, it was set for just 3000 capacity. KR shared only percentage values , but then they switched to setting capacity 12000 for Israphel and Nazekan and 10000 for Zikel, Vaziel. When they kept their exact numbers and capacity confidential, three more KR classic servers had already been added.

Remember that EU has smaller server capacity. Last time I have calculated Stormwing's cap it was just 3000. But, Aion in EU has always had a larger population thus Classic will bring more people to EU.

It's likely to take three months before the hype has waned and the majority of serious gamers are done with the grind of current content or gear. The chart of the top players, that I've included in the other comment, shows that the number of players is steadily decreasing.

In addition, how is faction balance going? I'm thinking of doing an elyos on siel as it was back in the day played as an asmo. However, I'm wondering if any major disadvantage in doing so. I am playing with Aussie wifi, and am not too pvp-focused. I just want to test my chanter as well as pve/overworld.

The life-span of the game is not known. However, the core group that plans to stick with it has already finished the initial leveling phase. This means that you will not see a lot of players within the early stages. Anyone who makes it to 42 is certain to stay.

as someone who played aion in the past , and even now, the game is great but is supported by a firm that is far too greedy to be a game's champion. Classic has had a disappointing launch due to ncsoft forcing players to join its base and added microtransactions, including p2w elements included in the game. most f2p games don't even attempt to accomplish both, and ncsoft is obviously trying to milk money from players to the maximum extent they can before the hype wears off. If anything, the private server option is superior at this point.

I played it years ago but never got much further. After looking for another game to play, I discovered the Classic server of the game. I was planning to return to play a bit sooner, but I heard the buy aion classic kinah eu retail version of the game had poor design choices or something like that. Anyway, let's move on to what I'm enjoying so far:
