A blog about profound, yet very common questions.

Profound because most of them are incomprehensable. Common because we all ask ourselves these questions.

"Who made us?" and "Why are we here?" being the main ones for me, personally.

For years the battle between science and religion has been going on. Recent developments in science are making more and more people turn to its beliefs every day. And why shouldn't we believe in science instead? Why should we search for answers in ourselves when they're right here on paper? Why should we go looking for something we already have?

Humans need knowledge. Without it, society would fall apart as well as the sanity of individuals. And with technology today, we have found our answers. Science says that we were created because of the "Big Bang" and evolved into what we are today. Before this, there was nothing.
If we know this, why would we continue searching for answers? We already have them.
We are all like children. If we don't know something, we accept what we are told. That's how we learn, and we don't go searching for other answers, because that just makes everything confusing. But really, life is confusing.

The question we all have to ask ourselves is, "Are we really going to let some person in a white coat tell me why I'm here now?"
And the truth we all have to face is, "Nobody can possibly know for definate, even that person in the white coat" because we weren't there when the universe was created.

But we can look for evidence to give us clues in the world today. In my opinion, science looks for clues inside the box. Facts, figures, evidence, theories, etc...
Why not look outside the box and not be afraid to ask questions, even if we don't yet know all the answers? Like, "Why is our world so perfectly created?" I'm not talking about society, I mean our world. Our planet. Why is it that earth is positioned not too far away from the sun, and not too close, so that it can support life? Why is it that there is water, air, food etc., so that we can live? Why is it that, if the earth's axis was just 1 degree off, we'd spin off into space? Why does the earth turn, so all of it can get light from the sun? Why is there even a sun in the first place?

I'm not pushing the idea of religion, I personally don't have a clue as to how everything was made. I believe in the theory of evolution, and I believe in science, but I don't believe we came to be with just some "BOOM!" and evolution alone. Our world is too complex to be built in such a simple way.
We had to be helped. I don't know if there's a God that helped us, but there had to be something or someone. For the moment, I'm an agnostic. I'm open to the concept of a "God" but I'm still in confusion. And I think most people have been like that at some point in their life. Some people find faith, some people take the easy way out and go for science.
I would like to find faith, but the science option seems more easy to follow everyday. After all, we're only human. We want things to be simple and easy, so we can know what's going on and get on with life, but then again, if there's a possibility of something more, as humans, we want to be in on it.

So are you going to go outside the box or stay in it? I'm personally stuck on the edge of the box and don't know which side to go to. But I'm going to find my own answers, and let the people in white coats find theirs.
