The Chaser’s War On Everything
Now, I’m not Australian. Actually, that’s a lie, I’m part Aussie, but born and bred in Yorkshire. I came across The Chaser through my friend Anneliese and her blog on the topic. I checked them out and fell in love.
I’ve spent many hours, many many hours, watching all the episodes through youtube, and they are amazing. Here, in the UK, I’ve seen shows that prank people and do sketches and very similar to The Chaser, but nothing as amazing, nothing as special, nothing as WOW.
But it’s most likely that if you’re none-Australian, you won’t have heard/seen many Chaser moments, so after I’ve waffled on a bit more I’ll show you a few videos to feed your desire.
Then again, you may be a non-Aussie and have heard about the APEC security breach. Hailed as Australia’s toughest security system, they managed, while posed as a fake motorcade, to get through many levels of security, with everything from fake passes to hand held cameras; all visible, but to find out more, please view Vegemite’s blog.
But what is so funny about a group of men who haven’t grown up? Well, I don’t know, it’s hard to explain. Why is anything funny? We don’t know. It Just Is. They push the boundaries, they risk everything, and it pays off. Sometimes it’s controversial, sometimes it’s offensive but they get away with it.
But, I’m not Australian so do I understand it all? Yes. Sometimes there are references which I find funny, but don’t fully understand, so I google the person and find myself laughing for days, even though I still don’t really know who they are. Election things sometimes confuse me with my little understanding of election jokes, but among everything else it really doesn’t matter. Most things are explained anyway or a worldwide joke or maybe it’ll just be mocking something which they first show us.
There’s something for everyone. Maybe you only like Andrew’s songs or Julian’s ticket distribution, but either way you’ll like something from these guys; as long as you’re willing to laugh at more than just yourself.
Whether they’re giving people tickets for number plates or road testing ads or even when they’re trying to fix everyday problems, they’re funny, hilarious and immense.
Now For Some Of My Favourites…
Gas Guzzler: Grease Lightning Spoof
Power Naps
Sex Offender Shirt
Doctor Who Spoof
And One Of The Many…”If Life Were A Musical”s
Humor is universal; The Chaser is living proof.

I've met them a few times (as in practically heaps) and Chas & Chris told my friend and I, and Andrew told me, that we could call them our friends!!! They're SO Nice!
I kissed Jules on the cheek a week ago too (check out profile for pic)
They're incredibly funny/witty. Love em.
