What will you remember?
Grown up, getting on with your life. Making families. Working hard.
What will you remember?
What will you look back on and think, "I wish I could go back to then and experience it again."?
What will you regret?
High School.
I'm not out of high school quite yet, but I already regret not trying hard enough. Granted at the end of this year I'll be skipping a year and going into year 11 but I can't help thinking "I wish I had tried harder". I wish I'd enjoyed it more and made the most of the experience. I've wasted it away hating school, trying everything to get out of it and trying not to make a fool of myself while I'm there. But honestly, what fraction of your life do you spend at school? Hardly anything. Who still cares about school at the age of 30? I, myself try so hard not to embarrass myself. But in the end, everyone will have forgotten about it in a few days. It's not going to change your life dramatically in any way shape or form. It doesn't even matter. Those kids picking on you? They'll be history in a year or so. You've got your whole life ahead of you. So why spend all your school life worrying about what you wear, what people think and whether you answer correctly in class?
Just enjoy it. Make it something you remember.
First loves.
Do you remember the time you saw that boy/girl who gave you butterflies everytime they talked to you. Whenever you're near them you feel like you're going to melt into a big puddle of mush. It's the best feeling in the world and you think it's going to last forever. You fall completely in love with them. You draw little hearts in the back of your school planner and carve their name into the bark on trees. You go out to the park together and mess around on the swings. You swear you'll love them forever and you truely believe that you're physically uncapable of loving anyone else as much as them. Yeah, we've all felt like that. But one day, it all ends and you're heartbroken. It happened so fast and you feel numb. You don't know how you could ever live without them. After a while, you get back to normal, but by yourself.
Looking back at it, you'll be thankful for these relationships, they make you stronger and without them you wouldn't be you. You laugh about it later in life.
Personally. I'll always remember the first time I said 'I love you' to someone.
Music.
Most probably, through your teenage years, they'll have been a few bands that got you through your days, helped you get over those heartbreaks and have just been there for you no matter what. Bands have helped me grow up, meet people I never thought I'd meet and they've changed me so much. You'll always have a song or band or quote that reminds you of when you were younger. A song that'll remind you of someone or just a memory you have of a disco, christmas, your first kiss, your first homecoming dance, your prom ect. Green Day will always have a place in my heart, along with Paramore. They're the two bands that have got me through the last few years. They'll always remind me of GSB, and the people that I've met on here.
Which songs or bands will you remember?
Those three things I will remember no matter what.

Well, its a good blog, well written and all that, but, I'll never try to look back in life. Memorys come back to haunt me every now and then, and I wish they woulnt. No matter what good things happen, somthing really sh*tty comes along and not only cancles out the good, it brings a new bad to replace it. It may not be the same for all, but as of now, theres no way in hell I'd ever go to a high shcool reunion or go back in the past and relive anything thats happened to me, cuz for the most part, its really sh*tty

Looking back on memories gives me mixed feelings. There's that part of me that says "Man, I wish I could go back and relive it because it was so amazing," and there's that part of me that says "...I wish it never happened and I want to forget about it." None the less we generally remember the happy moments more than the bad.
Nice blog. =)

Wow, this blog is so true. Even though when we grow older we wont remember a lot of things from our past years, there will always be those few little memories that will live with you forever.
Great blog :]

I think looking back on things is great, you can remember such good times and relive them.
It's strange to see how much I've changed and I doubt I'd be friends with who I used to be.
But I'm still fond of Mini-Lizzie idk why
But yeah, memories are great.
Great blog!
And I know I'll remember Lili Goodchild
