Foo Fighters - Echoes, Silence, Patience & Grace
What can I say, I love those Foo's!
The newest entry in the Foo Fighter's Collection
This album was produced by the same guy(Gil Norton) who did 'The Colour & The Shape' so fans of the old school can find a bit of similarities between the two! The whole album is both soft and rough, songs can change from fast and hard to something a little more softer and dramatic yet it still has that same style the band always had. (certain songs give off the feeling of those oldschool days of rock, such as "Steely Dan" as Dave once mentioned and many others) What I have to say is that its worth it for the fans but newcomers or those who haven't bought any of their previous work may (or may not) be a little bit dissappointed. The music stays true to what it is but at moments it doesn't really deliver anything new and sometimes feeling a bit repetitive at most points leaving some people wanting more. Still its nothing that big to worry about.
Track Listing...
1. The Pretender
2. Let It Die
3. Erase/Replace
4. Long Road to Ruin
5. Come Alive
6. Stranger Things Have Happened
7. Cheer Up, Boys (Your Make Up is Running)
8. Summer's End
9. Ballad of the Beaconsfield Miners
10. Statues
11. But, Honestly
12. Home
[note] as you can see 'Ballad of the Beaconsfield Miners' is (obivously) dedicated to the miners during the mining collapse incident...
My Score 3.5 out of 5 Stars!

the Beaconsfield miners... i still remember htat on the news, but they made it out... apparently they asked what the miners wanted when they were stuck down there.. and one of the guys said 'a foo fighter cd', or something along the lines of htat... ( i think)..
in the end, Dave heard about it, and offered to have a drink with that guy when he got out... pretty neat i think XD
ps, i love the foo fighters too!! hteyre touring here soon! although i didnt get tickets.. stupid me.
