Love Is Like Crack

Today, during luch, while I was talking to my friends and listening to my iPod, I got tired of listening to whatever I turned on. I'm that way; I like suprises; I'm a song switcher. So I swithed the shuffle on. A recently required song came on; Bodies by Smashing Pumpkins. I started thinking about what the singer was singing:
Love is suicide.

So I thought about it for a while. Love really is suicide to a certain extent.

It's like crack. It's adicting, so you can't live without it once you try it, but it's slowly going to kill you. What if your dealer gets caught dealing? What if your special someone gets caught cheating or something?

You're suddenly without your crack and/or your loved one. You'll probably, eventually, end up getting hooked on something else later. Let's say, for example, heroin or even a girl with lips like morphine. [They knock you out every time they touch you. <3(Hah, sorry, more lyrics. You should hear that song: Lips Like Morphine by Kill Hannah.) I'll go back to the point now, okay?]

People are self-destructive in that way. They really have to self distruct to live. Would most of us be here if there wasn't love? [And beer and drugs, but that's besides the point I'm trying to make.]

It's just ridiculous, in my opinion.

What did we, the people, deserve to get this fate? Take an apple from some forbidden tree a bazillion years ago? Hah, I don't even believe in god.

So, really, what do you think we did so we'd be cursed to this?

Or is it really a curse? I don't know anymore.

But, of course, this is coming from a person who's had her heart chewed up and spitten out so it might be fairly anti-love.
