Who dries your tears when nobody knows that you’re sad?
You carefully look at the person in the mirror. Your hand touches your cheek as you try to figure out if it’s really you. Something’s wet; your hand is wet. Another tear rolls down your cheek as you try to put a smile on your lips.
Smile, girl!
You have been crying again. You promised yourself to be strong, and yet here you are watching another tear roll down your cheek. It’s late, very late. Midnight. No one’s home. You watch yourself carefully in the mirror. Your hair’s a mess, your eyes red. Is this really you?
Smile, girl!
You try to smile but it looks weird. Where has your smile gone? Someone must have stolen it. Bring it back! But no one can hear you. You remember something you heard in a movie once: ”You cannot rely on someone else to make you happy, you have to learn to make yourself happy”.
But sometimes we do need help, don’t we? Sometimes we can’t just do it on our own. Sometimes we need someone to guide us through the dark. Sometimes we need someone to take our hand.
I wished they knew how I really feel. I wished they could see how I feel deep inside.
Who dries your tears when nobody knows that you’re sad?
You take one last look at the person in the mirror, wipe your tears away and go to bed. Another night where you cry yourself to sleep, you think. Suddenly your phone rings. What, why is someone calling me that late?. You take a deep breath and pick up the phone. Yes? A familiar voice replies. Hey it’s me. I just wanted to check on you. I had this weird dream and then I had this feeling in my stomach, just wanna check if you’re ok.. Woah. Can someone read your thoughts?
You hesitate for a second. You want to cry and smile at the same time. Someone cares; someone’s there for you. You burst into tears on the phone while saying thank you at the same time. Someone’s thinking of you. Someone’s there to dry your tears. Hold on I’m here in a minute was all I heard before the line went dead and not long after I wasn’t alone anymore.
We’re not alone. We all have someone who cares. Even if they might not be there with you in person, they are always there in thought. Someone’s always thinking of you. You just have to trust them and open yourself to them. And I know on GSB there are so many people who are there to listen to your problems, who are there for you and try to help. I’m there for you.
That’s probably the strangest blog I’ve ever written. Idk if I should like it or not.
dude... that sounds like me.... almost every night sept that no one calls.

I can't understand why you don't like it, it's pretty powerfully written.
And yes, despite what we might think in our darkest hours, there is someone there for us all.

You're an exellent writer. That was awesome.
I suppose that is true, but it's hard to remember sometimes.
Before I go to bed at night, I always think of someone and smile.
One can only hope the same thing happens to everyone.
