A Bunch of Issues Piled into One Blog.
I'm just going to catagorize everything that has been bugging my mind lately.
EMO
The emo culture is dead. It's been dead for a long time now. I don't see the point in bringing it back. Punk is nearly dead too. I don't see people walking around with blue hair or spiking mohawks anymore. I see a lot of little kids that are like ten trying to grow out their hair so they can look hot like an 'emo'. That's what my eight year old neighbor told me he wanted to look like, an 'emo'. I don't see a point in 'emo' music either. Bands try to make 'emo' music but the Cure was probably the best at doing that and all those strage bands who try to scream about depression just look a bit foolish in my eyes.
MUSIC
Honestly, I think today's music is terrible. I haven't seen a mainstream band sing about anything important since Green Day released American Idiot. Now all I hear is bands trying desperatly to cover Beat It by Micheal Jackson and other bands singing about shaking it and having sex. That's really meaningless music. Whatever happened to the rebellion in rock?
MUSIC [part 2]
This is not meant to incite hate on any band
Does anyone remember when Fall Out Boy sounded good? Here's a better question, does anyone remember when Simple Plan sounded good? My honest opinion on Fall Out Boy right now is they've changed too much. They sound like every other band. Simple Plan too. I remember when Simple Plan was about being yourself and swimming in park fountains. Now they're hip hop-ishy. It's not that I don't like either bands, I just miss them a lot. I miss how their music used to sound. I'm just a bit sick of the trends music has set for everyone's sound.
STEREOTYPES
This is going to make me very unliked, but I love stereotypes. Everyone talks about how they don't liked to be called something they're not but without stereotypes, what would we be? Without the preps/professional people, punks would have no one to annoy. Without the jocks, sports wouldn't be very big. Without stoner people, there would be a serious lack of humor. Without nerds, where would education be? There's a difference between judging people and labeling them.
JUDGING PEOPLE
This is something I hate. I hate it when I'm looked at by mothers of younger kids and get eyes rolled at my style. I also hate it when gay people are made fun of because they're different. It takes time to understand some people and you shouldn't judge a person for their looks/sexual orientation/style/mental status. My oldest brother would appear to a lot of people as a freak with no real life. I don't think anyone has a real life anymore. Most people today are too busy smoking pot and hallucinating or spending their time on computer to notice that there are some pretty stupid things happening in today's fake society.
That's all. I just needed to get some things off my chest.

You know, you're right. I agree with the stereotypes section. Plus, it's fun when I tell someone who's just watchet that Godfather movie that I'm Italian, or when I tell a Jewish person I'm German. I don't know why, I just get a huge kick outta that.

Hah, I was just thinking about the 'music' part the other day. About how I'm just really disappointed in music* lately. I'm finding in very hard to find new bands that stand out to me and really make me want to listen to them cause they're just all the same now.
*in general, obv not every band in the world disappoints me. D:
