New Found Glory Covering Green Day
According to Alternative Press, the band New Found Glory will be co-headlining the Hoodwinked festival, and allegedly they'll be playing an entire set of Green Day songs. Other bands are also expected to pay tribute to some of their favorite bands as well.
In other news, Green Day's official site also posted news about Mike Dirnt's new shoe, which is going to come out in the summer of 2009, "just in time for the launch of the NEW Green Day album," according to the news posting.
Interview With Billie Joe
AP has posted an interview with Billie Joe online. This is not part of the upcoming article in AP, but something separate. They discuss the new album and the things and processes that went into making it.
An article was also posted on the San Diego Reader's website that discusses music and politics and how the two have tied in with the 2008 election. The title is a bit of a pun using Green Day, and they're also briefly mentioned in the article.
Farewell to Adeline Clothing
Adeline Street clothing posted an announcement on their MySpace stating that they won't be continuing the brand:
Ladies and Gentlemen:
Adeline Street clothing has left the building. What started off as a passion project to create from the heart, punk-inspired clothing has now taken a back seat to the source of its inspiration: rock-n-roll. Adeline Street clothing has decided not to move foward with future designs while Billie Joe and the guys are back in the studio working hard on their follow up to "American Idiot."
Adeline will sell off the remainder of its merchandise through the end of the year on various online stores including AngryYoungandPoor.com, AdelineRecords.com and OnePoster.com. This will not affect Adeline Records since the two companies are separate entities under the Adeline umbrella, so be assured Adeline music will play on. We would like to thank everyone that supported us and helped make this brand happen.
