Just a Few of My Least Favorite Things
Has someone ever done something to you that just completely irks you? Or what about something that you just absolutely dislike enough to the point where you just have to use that strong word, hate to describe your feelings for it?
Well, as I sit in my hotel room on a cloudy, miserable day in the usual bright and sun shining state of Colorado, I've been thinking of the things that irk me the most..
1. The awkward door dance - you all know it. When someone opens the door and you're on the other side just wondering if you should go or if they should go. You're left standing there like an idiot for a total of ten seconds just waiting to figure out your strategy. I have to say that this tops my list. I am stuck in this situation so much! I always feel so embarrassed. It should be simple to walk through the doorway. But apparently it's not.
2. When someone interrupts you while you're speaking - Okay, honestly, I know it's so tempting to do and I am guilty of this. But when it happens, it's like, I want to finish what I am saying before I loose my train of thought completely. All I can say is, I try to be patient when other people are speaking to me and when someone interrupts me. It's a hard thing to do.
3. When you have a conversation with someone, but you run out of things to say - Hate it, hate it, hate it! It's the most awkward feeling in the world to be standing there looking at your toes and trying to think of something else to say!
4. When someone has the TV up really loud and you're trying to do something else - My sister and I always had this fight almost once a day before she moved out. She'd be watching TV and I'd be doing my homework or trying to talk to someone on the phone. I can't hear myself think when the damn TV is up at Volume level 100!
5. When you turn the radio on and hear the song you dislike the most and then you change the station and they're playing the same song - It's almost as if it was planned!
6. When you can't find your size in the shirt/pants/shoes/dress/ etc. that you want - Oh god! Annoying!
7. When you're watching a brand new DVD and your player says "Skipping Over Damaged Area" - Huh? I swear I just bought this and there isn't a scratch on it!
8. When you're trying to talk to someone, but there's a delay in their response - This is a major problem in my family. My dad, every time I talk to him, he doesn't respond for thirty seconds at minimum after you've asked your question or started the conversation. It's like, just answer me!
9. When you apply to a job where the sign outside the door says "Now Hiring" and they say "Thank you! We'll look it over and let you know!" as soon as you turn in the application... a month later you still haven't heard anything - Enough said.
10. Having to wake up early for school - 5:30? Really? My parents are still asleep then!
11. When the coffee is gone - I can't live without coffee, it's my drug vitamin. I need it!
12. When the dog comes up to you, scratches your leg and cries and you've just sat down for the first time all day - Um, this is when I wish there were toilets for dogs!
13. When a teacher asks you a question and you don't know the answer - I don't know everything! Aren't you the teacher? Teach me what I don't know!
14. Price of gas - Enough said. $2.50 is too much.
15. Having an off day - Sometimes life just sucks and you feel left in the dark. I hate feeling like this. I love to be happy and comfortable with my life, but some days, I just am not. I feel a rush of emotions that just make me feel like crap and it's usually over nothing.
All in all, no one's perfect. In fact, if we were all perfect, we'd all be incredibly boring. So, by listing off these first 15 that have been running through my head due to my incredible boredom, I have come to realize that we all have our own unique flaws. Flaws are what make us all unique. There is nothing wrong with not being perfect because no one should ever expect you to be perfect. Perfection to me doesn't exist. I know that I'll never be perfect, I know that no one will ever be perfect and that's okay. It's okay to be who you are.

Anydoodle, my school day starts when the bell rings at 8:35
I don't wake up until 8.
I don't get out the door til 8:15

I make it and I walk.
in the cold.
With pneumonia.

Off days are THE WORST. It's like they're planned by a higher power so that EVERYTHING goes wrong.
I had one this week: missed the bus in the morning, so I had to walk all the way to the train station, forgot my lunch, spent all my breaks that day trying to understand really hard school work, every test/assignment that got handed back that day had a bad grade, and on the way home I realized I'd forgotten my bus pass so I had to dig around for change to pay the fare.

Haha, nice blog. Having an off day is the worst thing out of them all I reckon.
