Whoa...I've never heard of anyone slit their neck.

If I'm ever depressed, I write it in a song which is why I don't do stuff like cut myself. So most of my songs are depressing and about the same thing..my songs suck...but...at least I'm not harming myself. Sometimes I feel like the only thing that keeps me going is the future..but sometimes I get reminded my future is doomed. I'm not so depressed anymore, because the main reason I always was was that I felt like I was trapped in my own fucking house. My parents wouldn't ever let me go anywhere, they're just so paranoid. They don't trust me at all.

I think that's pointless. These days, kids are all perfect and preppy and all that shit. If anyone in my class saw someone with scars on their neck and wrist and found out, they would diss the hell out of them.

"Euuuurrrggh! She slits her throat and wrists! What a freak! Omg..How can you do that?! That's sick!"

Yeah...they'd get attention...but in a bad/annoying way.

yea, that's what i was thinking. i say, if you're not doing it for attention and honestly dont want anyone to know, you would do it somewhere that you know will always be covered. not somewhere that everyone will see. i realize that sometimes you dont even think about that fact until afterwards and then you have to try to hide it and what not, but over all, that just makes a lot more sense if you're not trying to get attention for it.

Maybe you people who cut [who dont want attention] should like cut the inside of your legs. o_o I saw it on the movie Secretary(sp?0_o) Kinky kinda movie. Also a good excuse for cuts on your arms are the following: Your cat busted a crazy pyshco(sp)you fell of a tree,you caught your sleeve on a tree and then the branch cut your arm 15 times o_o, you got in a girly fight.... just examples. I learned this from the cheerleaders at my school. They're funny.

A lot of different people cut for different reasons. I was going to cut a few days ago... actually, it was probably about a week now.... just because physical pain is better than emotional pain. Also, when you're hurting physically, you aren't thinking about things that are going on emotionally. I decided against it, but I think that's a common reason. Take your mind of emotional pain.

many different reasons. they could feel ignored, or they could want to have some sort of name for themselves, they could want to look more "scene", they could want to look "though" or they could just want pity and attention for the sake of it. many other reasons. basically, people are just stupid.

People don't want to hurt people they know cut. Some people don't care, but the people with hearts don't do things to hurt people worse than they already are hurt.
This one girl, she thinks everyone adores her 'cause noone has the guts to tell her the truth, she wanted pity. She WANTED people to do what people ARE doing. One time she was outside when everyone else was, and she went over to a bunch of trees and cut in plain view of everyone. And once this guy broke up with her, and she gave him a box of a bunch of his stuff, and she put a razor in there with a note saying 'you made me cut'

True physical pain is better than emotional pain. Or maybe not I wouldnt really know I just cope with the emotional and laugh at the physical cause im chicken poop.
