Suicide and self harm!

My mom even said, "It was such a waste..." It just proves suicide is not the answer. I don't blame him though I just wish he didn't...

No offence, but just because your mother said "It's such a waste", it's not proving that suicide is not an answer. I personally think that suicide is God's decision and just one of the ways to end someone's life, a part of someone's fate (if fate exists). Even if you don't believe in that, still, if someone wants to end their life, I think they have a right to do it. It might be selfish or stupid, but 65% of things we do in life are selfish or stupid.

Okay, well, don't mean to be rude or anything, but then you should just say "I think", not "It proves"

hows this: truth is relative, you cant actually prove anything, evidence is only circumstantial.

A less expidiant person would just live life out till the natural end rather than BAM and dead. Hehehe.

suicide is not lazy ... its not the cowards way out or what any of you may say. ..personally i think to kill your self you would need alot of fucking guts to do something like that ... but thats just my opinion

...last night my mate told me that the night before she had tried to kill herself , the tears started coming down my eyes and i dont know what id have done if id lost her ...she is just someone i talk to online but she means alot to me and shes helped me so much ..but when she told me that i just felt so empty and if she had of died i would have never forgiven myself ...i would have always wanted to go back to that night and ACUALLY go online that night and talk her out of it ....now every night i am going to lay awake wondering where she is at that moment and just hope that she is not about to take her own life

suicide is not lazy ... its not the cowards way out or what any of you may say. ..personally i think to kill your self you would need alot of fucking guts to do something like that ... but thats just my opinion

I agree, you would have to be so sure that you hated life to take your own. But that's also why I think it's lazy. You could just sit and wait through life until things got all better, but you'd rather just kill yourself instead of trying to succeed?

Things don't tend to get better by just sitting and waiting. Sometimes the problem is that there's nothing to do but to sit and wait.

If sitting and waiting isn't lazy, then what is? You kind of denyed yourself what you said in the sentence before.

i would like to tell you all that i suffered from depression for a few years and yes i did try and kill myself and i am so glad that it didnt work, i went onto medication for the ILLNESS, and now i realise that it's a cowards way out and that life is not to be thrown away and that it is a gift to be cherished and nurtured into the beautiful thing it is. I spend most of my spare time now going to concerts and enjoying what i have.

Agreed. For those people who say it takes guts to commit suicide, well quite frankly, it doesnt. They're throwing away their lives because they're too afraid to live, too afraid of trying to get better. Theres nothing poetic or special about it.

They're throwing away their lives, yeah, and? That's what they want to do. If there's nothing for them here, then why be here.

In a way it could be considered a cowards way out.... But really, to kill yourself you do have to have guts, even it is just for a while to actually do it.
