That's stupid. Some people who put it on here want to share their stories, some probably want their friends on here to help. It's stupid not to believe anyone who says they want to die just because they say it.

People don't tell anyone when they're going to do it? Well, that's interesting, because if I decide to kill myself I'm sure as hell going to go on the PMB and the Slash Thread and let people know I'm not gonna be on anymore and say goodbye to all my friends.

And someone earlier made a comment about how it's there forever and you won't be able to forget. Some people don't want to forget. I'm glad that I'll have a constant reminder not to let people as far in as I let Beth so I won't have to go through this pain again.

I was thinking about this the other day, actually.
If I commited suicide I'd want people on here to know, and I'd want to leave them messages and stuff. But they probably would think I wasn't really and was doing it for attention and stuff.

I think people who post it only is because they desperate and like oyu don't really know the person who's reading what you're posting you don't feel that ashamed about sharing your deep feeling than when you're feeling like that, you think they're shameful feelings.

What I do believe is that people who tells it to everyone they know (personally know, like friends and family and class mates and stuff) is really trying to get other's poeple attention...I mean, If somebody says they wanna kill themself today and trhen they repeat it tomorrow and the day after tomorrrow and so on and on, but they never do it, they are the ones looking for attention, and also the ones who self harm and then go around showing the scars and cuts/burns/whatever.

Yeah, I agree. I tell people on here things I would never say to someone I knew. It's horrible looking people in the eye and telling them about your life. It's just...hard. I can't do it. Unless I have to...which I never do.

i much prefer to communicate through type or writing than actual talking. especially about things like that.

i never understood how that makes people feel better. but when i go through these unusual moods i get in (i think it's from drugs or something, because they worse if i take shit and have been getting better since i haven't), i get twitchy and pissed off and depressed and confused and shit, and i'll end up breaking things without meaning to because of all the adrenalin and shit. and one time, i got this itch on my leg, itched it, and pulled a ton of skin off. it hurt and somehow, it distracted me from the rest of that bullshit in my head and made me forget about it, because i was focusing on how much my leg hurt.

i'm not a cutter in the least and i'm not saying it's a good thing or anything, i'm just saying it was odd how being physically hurt actually made it go away.

To be honest, I don't see the appeal in cutting either, i've been through enough physical pain in my life not to inflict any more on myself. I know many people who cut for attention, but many also genuinely do it because they are depressed or whatever.
