Cutting has become a trend now. And I hate it.

I know kids who are really bright, nd they tell me they cut themselves.

What the fuck? If you don't have a crappy life, don't fucking complain. There's somebody out there who's life is way worse.
that statement seems like it is implying that bright people have less of an excuse to self harm... it is possible to be smart and miserable at the same time you know.
and there will ALWAYS be someone whos life is worse.

No, not really. You can't tell who's life is worse..Someone who's rich and is living their dream might be more miserable than someone who's cold and starving. It's not about the material state of your life, it's about how you feel. Everyone has their own hell. Someone might dream of a life that someone else is willing to give up. You really can't tell who's unhappier.

hmmm... that is true. i never thought of it that way. thanks.

but... then again when people look in on others lives and they may see someone who should, in theory, be happy. like if they're rich and living their dream like you said, but, in reality are completely miserable and self harm. and then see someone else who is living on the street but may be perfectly happy. and then they come up to the rich kid and go "why the fuck do you do that to yourself? theres nothing wrong with your life, you have it way better off that that kid" *points to street kid* but really.. really its not. its their state of mind which makes then so sad and miserable. its pessimists versus optimists.

sorry for the little story it made it easier to explain.

Yeah, stories always make it easier.
You know, I just kinda think, it's not even optimism or pessimism. It's just that we have different needs. I knew these 2 people:
One man was always broke, could barely provide for his family, his kid was fucking up at school all the time, work sucked - but he was admitting that no matter how weird that is, he's happy. Maybe because he had a loving family and that's exactly what he needed.
And this woman had a rich husband that loved her, she could pretty much do whatever she wanted and had this perfect life, but she was absolutely miserable. Maybe because she felt like she was living in a perfect picture in someone else's album, and that's just not what she wanted.
Someone's dream is someone else's nightmare
.
yeah. nhow wouldnt the world just be so much better if we all had the same needs/nightmares? THEN, we could fairly compare whether we have the right to be more or less miserable than another.

LoL...Well, then we would still be in like Stone Age 'cuz if everyone was the same there would be no genius people, no creativity, no discoveries, no evolution...no love
yes but... if it had always been that way.... we wouldnt know any better. so the world would be so much more peaceful.

And boring and emotionalaless.(I think I just invented a word)

yes but im saying, if it had ALWAYS been like that, then we would have nothing to compare it to therefore really it wouldnt be boring and emotionless, we only think that because we're comparing it to the world we have today.

If it had always been that way it would always be boring. It would always be:
Person 1: Hello
Person 2: Hello
Person 1: What's up?
Person 2: I'm going to work in half an hour. What about you?
Person 1: Me, too.

I know what you're saying. I would much rather know what un-boring is than have every human on earth be the same.

Yeah, you're right - we wouldn't know any better, so it would be totally fine. But then we would have different problems and maybe war wouldn't be an issue and other things would. There is no perfection. At least in our current state we enjoy being unique.

Maybe in some parallel reality there is a world where everyone is the same. And maybe all they dream of is being like us... Ever seen Equilibrium? Awesome movie! Wink

Hey, well, does it really matter why? Rolling Eyes

Equilibrium is about society without feelings - they take a certain medication to supress feeling. I just thought about it - that's the society where everyone is the same. Some good philosophy there

like Kurt Cobaine. He had everything he wanted a goodlooking wife (she was then) a great kiddie and he was famous he had girls throwing themselfs at him and he had money coming out of his ears and he chcuked it away what a tosser.

But he didn't want all that.

Plus I don't even believe he killed himself.
He also had a heroin addiction....

then the knob head shouldve become a brick layer or a builder or somthing then shouldnt he. And he died knowing what he was doing. Leaving behind a young child who will never know her father how selfish is that.
He had chronic depression or something like that. He also took an overdose of heroin before he shot himself.
When people actually get truly suicidal they're not really thinking straight, he probably wasn't thinking of someone else at the time he shot himself. Although he did leave a note to them explaining and stuff.

Although actually, I don't think he killed himself, although I can see the reasons why.

without sounding like a religious freak here but, life is to be cherished and not thrown away, And anyway i know this is stupid but in some places it is illegal to kill yourselfs they will actaully take the family to court.

Why should life be cherished?
Death is a great thing.
And even when you die, all it means is that you'll move onto another life anyway..
It really doesn't matter.

finally some one who has the same oppinion as me!! i am looking forward to death..to finally find out what happens and i think we are reincarnated any way. i have a wierd theory that those who believe in heaven and all that shit go to a kind of relm with in their own head like thier own perception of heaven is heaven and the same with hell, bu those who dont believe are the clever ones who are reincarnated...its a kind of test to see if you are strong enough to rebel against the rule of conformity...but there is no god who decides, the earth decides whether you will live inside your own perception of heaven or hell or get through to the next level of life hence reincarnation. dude im wierd. bu that is what i think. people who say that those who kill themselves dont ever really suffer real pain, dont have a fucking clue. i mean who are you to judge the pain some one else feels? it is relative to each person and no one else can judge the scale or enormity of the pain some on else is suffering. no one knows about any thing in my life, no one near to me...so does that mean i dont suffer? does that mean i havnt been through loads of shit? dude by all means express you oppinion but dont opress people's feelings and say they arnt real, because you abviously have no clue.

I hate people who say thinks like 'S/he had a great life, why the fuck did the idiot kill them self.', or other things along those lines. I don't think people realise that depression is a illness. It's not something you can get other just like that. We all have momments when we wanna just end everything, some people just cope with it better. Personally, i just hope the number of people who are suicidal goes down, or at leaste more people get help. I know i sound like a preacher, but life it too precious for people to take it away from themselves.
