Suicide and self harm!

Many people do it because they are genuinely depressed, upset, grieving...you can't just generalize.

i dont think anyone would ever do it "for attention" there must be something wrong for them to on purpose hurt themself. just a hint, if there is anyone you know who is hurting themself and you think its for attention, dont assume so quickly...

Some people...[some]..may do it..because ..they're blaming themselfs for everything that happened to them in the passed..bad memorys? :/..yes..they may know its wrong and its not they're fault but when they cut..it just makes them more addicted, they start thinking "i deserve it...i deserve to die..i deserve pain.. its my fault"

I used to do the whole cutting thing....but I stopped because i realized it was making my problems worse not helping....its really soemthing I dont like to talk about because a lot of people are all like "your just saying you used to cut but quit because its cool"

i somewhat understand it if you think of it in the terms that the psychical pain distracts you from the mental pain or depression or something like that. not that i'm saying it's the best way to distract yourself or anything, but if that's what you choose, go for it i guess.

I used to, but I stopped. once I had started, it seemed that it only took little things to get me to go for it again. I didnt do it for attention and I didn't tell anyone. But somehow it got out. it didn't get me a good reputation at school either. i never considered suicide though.

My advice to people: Don't do it. Its that simple, don't start, and then you'll have one less thing to worry about
