Are girls growing up too fast?

nah I really don't get this.
Right little kids are dressing 'sluttier' or whatever. But why are people worried about a little girl in a skirt? This is what society throws at us from TV and stuff.
What we should be worried about are the 13 year olds that are going out and fucking random guys. Its not sex, its a fuck. My younger sister has friends who have and I freak out about her too. Kids are getting wrapped up in too much bad shit and thinking its cool. Newsflash its not. In your older teens its allright (16 upwards) because by then you're smart enough to know everything and everyone is hormonal as all hell/

I had a mobile when i was ten for emergencies. I'm now 13 and if i ever leave the house without my mobile my mother freaks. She likes to know I'm safe, particularly as i'm getting asthma attacks a lot.

I dont see the point in thongs anyway, isnt the reason for underwear to cover your ass...

Things with girls going out having sex at 13/14 probably wouldn't be quite so bad if they did it because they felt mature, and ready (although I don't think that would happen at 13).
But they do it because they think it's the 'cool' thing to do, or it'll make them seem older, and it doesn't, it just makes them seem like a child messing around with things they don't really understand - what with all the STDs and getting pregnant and stuff - because it shows they aren't even using protection and stuff

Yes i did and do feel ready. I have always been mature. What i have done is definately not the kind of thing you boast about at school or anything because you'd probably get beaten within an inch of your life. There is no chance of me getting pregnant and seeing as neither of us have slept around STDs aren't an issue.

My friend Jenni on the other hand...has been having unprotected oral sex (I don't know about proper sex) since she was about 11/12, she has slept with numerous guys and recently she went camping and had unprotected sex with some welsh guy she'd only known a few hours. I hope she now realises how stupid that is seeing as she had a pregnancy scare and might still be pregant or have an STD for all she knows...I think this kind of immature behavior definately proves she isn't ready especially as she is always saying she loves some guy and then there's some other guy that she loves ect ect it isn't real....

Allright, no one be offended, but yes..I do. I think I'm a lucky exception because I despise makeup or anything of the sort. There are so many 11 year olds I know "going out" and it's just crap...

This is a good topic. Now, girls at my school wear SHORT skirts, makeup, bring cellphones, blah blah but I can't go saying it's all wrong because then I'd be a hypocrite. I wear makeup. Eyeliner mostly, but still in good taste. Short skirts, I'm not a slut. Yes, I may act like one with friends but other than that, no. Cellphones, don't have one. I would only need one for emergency. Girls these days do grow up very fast. I'm even doing the same. I have a boyfriend and things to that nature but it's all good. No harm and I know what and how to conrol things. I don't go giving myself away for anyone to take. Meaning, no sex until I think I'm ready. When that'll be? I dunno.
