I am 13 and i dont wear make-up yet or wear dresses and skirts and aren't very interested in having boyfriends yet. I find it really hard to fit in with my friends who are only worrying about what they look like. Anyone got any ideas on how I could fit in without trying to be someone who i aren't. Some girls in my year are xtreamly slutty and it just is wrong what they do when they walk past guys. I recently went to the shopping center and saw g-strings for 6 year olds it is getting out of controll the stuff some companys do.
I find G-strings for six year olds very hard to believe for any mainstream clothing company in a supermall that doesn't want to be sued.
Simple answer, don't try and fit in. I did and my friends are pleantyful. You can tell they're your friends cause they embrace you no matter what.

I don't understand when dresses became slutty. I mean, you go from wearing dresses when you're young, to the jeans phase, and then the skirts and dresses again. The evolution of fashion is astonishing.

actually you can buy g strings for 6 year olds, i dont know what it is but it seems that you cant buy any decent underwear for kids now,
I'll knit some for my kids then, when I get to that age.
Even thought they'll probably get extreme bottom rash.

yeah perhaps not a good idea.

I'm 11 and I highly doubt that I'm growing up too fast. I think I'm going backwards actually Think

I wear a bit of eyeliner, I don't wear short skirts and dresses but yet I still like boys.

Granted, its stupid, wrong even to have kids that can't be older than 14 playing tonsil tennis, before they've even reviewed the concepts of love and shit.

Ya, I like boys, but I don't grab them for a quick one. I still like them inside of my head, and no-one knows until my crush has blown over.

Am I growing up too fast? I think not..

I'm going to have to disagree with you there...
Hormones do stuff to you.
Especially at parties. Think
So making out under 14...ehhh, I don't think it's THAT big of a deal because it doesn't have to be out of love. Dno
I think if you're making out with boys or whatever and you're not even in middle school yet then that'd be like wrong.
So 6th grade + is okay because that's when you're hormones are starting to go like...crazy. Think

no offence or anything, but you're still in Canadia, and even though the difference in Canadia and the U.S. is slight, it still exists

we don't sell modest dresses
the length of a dress for a seventeen year old is about the same size as a skirt for a twelve year old
it's not hard to believe here, Paris Hilton is excepted as a role model in American schools, teachers have no problem with girls looking up to her

usually you're very informed about your debate even though this section mainly focuses on one country, but it's much different here

Besides which they sell dresses like that in Canada as well, just go to K-mart in the tweens section. I'm just saying it's intresting the evolution of fashion from about the 20th century onwards. Back when it was illegal for women to dress like men in pants and everyone had to wear dresses.

I think that some girls are growing up too fast.
I am 15. I just watched this tele prog. am teenage parents (lads aswell) and I think that it is wrong.
To have a child at that age is riduclas.(sp?)
You have your whole life ahed of you, not just the going out part, but education and career aswell.

As for mobiles. I have a mobile, I use it. Yet, it isn't constantly glued to the side of my head. And there are girls who are 24/7 using theirs.
Get a life, please?

Make up.
I wear make up, and I probably do wear outstanding things.
Red lipyy, bright eyes.
Buut I am sick of these younger girls wearing it and thinking they are the shite.
They are plastered in orange and think that they look amazing.

Another thing is the attitude.
Thye think that they are totally gorgeous and that everyone else should obey them.
There is nothing wrong with thinking you are good looking...but these girls take it too far.
Sorry, it's not happening kids :]

I was also so shocked when I went out last month to see a 5 yeard old smoking. Yes, SMOKING.
In the street on his own.
Where were his parents?!
What made it worse was that he was showing off and bragging to the other children.
It needs to be stopped.

I think that we as a resposible nation need to wake up and control these kids.
It's proven that they have influences and the root of them needs to be stopped otherwise this will be going an on going issue and problem.

Of course, you posted this on a message board, on the internet, which is somewhat the same thing as using a phone. So the same thing could be said to you.

I'm not on here all the time though.
I have other things to do like coursework and such.
Plus, I can't get the GSB board out in my school lessons.
I go past and these kids are hiding from the teacher in class on their phones!

i didnt get a phone till i was thriteen, and everyone else had a phone. i was so jealous, and now i dont even use my phone at all. girls are growing up way to fast. i see girls at the age of eleven, walking around the shopping center in boob tubes and mini skirts, and it just looks ridiculous. all the teenagers look down on them in disgust becuase we only wore those things when we were older. and bratz dolls dont help at all. they come with the sluttiest cloths, so that eight and ten year olds can dress them up. it's disgusting, and its really sad. it'd be really cool to see an eight year old playing mums and dads, or puppy dogs, instead of bratz or what ever the latest marykate and ashley doll is.

Anything and everything your kid does until it's 18, you're accountable for, even if you arent there. It's that attitude that I can't stand. Parents need to step it up and act like parents. You might not be able to be there 24/7... but that isn't any excuse. You're still the parent, and you're still held accountable for what happens to, and around, your kid. Thats part of being a parent.
