Girls try too act grown up. Thy feel they need to have sex at a young age, look the coolest, have older boyfriends, and do unethical things. I know I'm probably sounding like a mom, but it's the truth. Girl should be girls for a while. They shouldn't worry about these things as much as they do.

You are being very sexist in my opinion. Has it never occurred to you that guys play just as big a role as girls do in the growing up of girls. It's not like we're having sex with girls, it's the guys we're having sex with. And sometimes that's not a bad thing. As long as it's not for any sort of popularity contest, I think it's perfectly fine. Everybody always tries to act more grown up. When you're a todler you try and act more grown up. You dress in your mother's clothes and what not. Well, same deal. It's not growing up, it's just an act.

I'm not being sexist at all. Most of my opinion is based on my faith. I belive that someone shouldn't have sex until marraige.(sp?)

It is incredibly silly, i think they should be enjoying their childhood and not trying to rush into adulthood. I think everyone goes through periods where they try and act older for various reasons, i know i did, but eleven year olds dressing like 18 year olds etc is just stupid.

As for the cell phone thing, i don't understand the need to have them at the age, if there was an emergency surely the parent would just ring the school anyway.

The clothing and makeup is not only an act for the child to look and behave older, but it is also convincing others that they are older than what they really older, which is leading the children into situations which i believe most are not mature enough to handle.

The increasing number of teenage pregnancies in the world today is one outcome which is a direct result of this type of behaviour.

Why is everyone in such a hurry to grow up anyway.

I cant stand that kind of crap! Girls in my school have been 'gonig out' and shit for as long as I can remember. They've been wearing make up and dressing like thirty-year-olds since they got into middle school, (sixth grade). >__< It's stupid, personally. Eleven year old girls shouldnt be wearing revealing clothing, make up, and dating. It's just not right.

Hey, in my high school the girls are wearing short shirts, mini skirts, and the thong or granny panties are visible. *shivers*

Oooh, if you really want to be disgusted maybe you should check out the little kids fashion at your local mall.

Little girls as young as five are only offered tight jeans.
no elastic waistbands.. or anything that looks even remotly comfortable.
That means they can't manouever around properly and play normally because of these constricting clothes.

My brother is 8 and boobs is all he ever talks about sometimes and I don't think it's normal, he said his cousin told him about that so i don't think he would be like this if there wasn't so much pressure on the kids.

My parents gave me a cell phone in sixth grade because the principle's office was really pissy about letting us go outside for the pay phone or using the office phone and I was always after school for activities and science clubs and sometiems they got cancelled.

But Saint's right about the clothes. Its sick. When I was 7, I had jeans with elastic instead of buttons. They were so cool. *liked her jeans waaay too much* and I wore big comfy shirts and sweaters with teddies on them or my brother's old stuff when I played outside. But noooo, no one wants to wear teddy bears and kittens anymore!

Now, all the little girls want to wear boobalicious models on their shirts. And its not even Betty Boop or anything. Its some vulgar drawing. And in India, people don't even check what they're buying. I saw a little girl wearing a shirt that said "My Milkshake Brings All The Boys To The Yard". O____o much?

Some parents think their kids look totally adorable in teen-whore clothing. Fine, its your kid, whatever. But then those girls go around saying "you can't play with us if you don't wear this." so all the second grade girls go out and buy teenwhore clothing.

I mean jeebus! I went to the mall once in fourth grade to go to Natural Wonders to buy some cool rocks and a telescope with my dad. After that, I didn't go to the mall for like, four years. And in fifth grade, all the girls wore Limited Too shirts that showed their belly buttons and lipgloss. I was fat and didn't want anyone to see my belly button and did not even know what lipgloss was. And I heard Sara K go "She is so immature."

Was I immature? No. Were those girls' parents letting them act like teenagers a few years early. Hell yeah.

when i was in primary school we used to play kiss chase and got all imbaressed and disgusted if a girl kissed us.. these day you see it happen all the time.
the younger generation up to about 20ish are all raceing to grow up from 19-20 we wish we where 16again LOL!
