Well, if you go to Sam Ash, you can get one of those big packs with an electric guitar and strap and 2 picks was an amp for about $150. If you want a Fender, then it'll cost about...well, if you want one with good detailing, then it'll cost about $150 or more. If you just want a basic Fender Telcaster then it can be around $120 or $140. Those are the prices for the Sam Ash that I go to.

ic. they're goddam expensive here. if i wanna play a fender i would just borrow it from the school. i just wouldnt spend so much on a fender, i dunno why. they're awesome but i dunno, not my type of guitar i suppose.

I'd go with Musiciansfriend.com They have some good deals on there. Especially refurbished. My first guitar was a shitty hand-me-down....It was just horrible. Intonation and everything was messed beyond repair. If you get one just make sure it works well. Even if its a cheapy.

I got a Gibson Melody Maker for 350$ at The Guitar Center. It's lasted for two years and it still works like it's brand new, so I would reccomend it

Mine cost £70, cause it was in really bad condition. But i fell in love with it, i have no idea what make of guitar it is but its a black/red strat copy. The pick ups were shot so i bought 2nd hand gibson pick ups and it sounds amazing now that i've fixed it all up. better than any other guitar i've ever played.

I also have a second hand gibson less paul jr that i bought for £190. Its awesome

My music teacher told me to take home the school's guitar to practice...that was 3 years ago. I'm too cheap to actually buy one.

i went to this store called reno's music and got a new ephiphone for like $120 something... smaller more local shops have lower prices... and ephiphone guitars aren't as mainstream so they're not as exspensive but they're still pretty awsome guitars.
