Les Pauls sound heavy and are heavy.

I have a Les Paul and I love the sound and feel and knowing that I'm touching a Les Paul, makes me go crazy.

You need to have a strong shoulder for a Les Paul though, if not you can buy a Les Paul Jr.

Depends on the sound you want, really.
But otherwise, Tele's are sexy. Cassie

Les Pauls are really nice. They have a great sound. The feel will be different since you currently have a Squier. If you decide to get a Les Paul or Les Paul Jr, you might want to get the lighter ones with holes built into them. The holes are in the back, so people can't see them. It just makes them lighter.

On the other hand Telecasters are great too. But the thing about them is that it's better to get and American made one. They're the best. [And most expensive]

All in all, I think Les Pauls are better, but since you are used to the Squier, you might want to stick with a Telecaster. But it's your choice.

Oh, and Les Paul Juniors are smaller and easier to handle.

They're made by Fender, the same company that makes Strats. Probably their second-most famous guitar?
I'm thinking of buying one, myself but I'm not entirely sure.

You can buy Les Pauls with tremalo bar fitted to them. Or get one fitted to them.

I got mine fitted at Billy Hyde, which is the Australian equal to guitar center.
Cost me about $100 Australian.
So about $90 American.

I'd go a with a strat.
But i think the telecaster is better.
My Les Paul sucks.
Too heavy i can't play live with it.
Gives me like back pain.

Tele. Les Paul's are sexy as hell, but heavy as hell.

Mm, I ended up buying my Telecaster a few months ago.
Personally, I love it. It plays great, it feels great. It's just amazing.

I've played Les Pauls before, but I don't really think they're that heavy. *shrug* Maybe I just have a strong shoulder.
I just really don't like the way they feel, though. I'm just not comfortable with the neck, at all.

That's a hard choice for me. (I know I said LP's earlier. That was when I knew nothing of guitar.)
The LP has such a classic tone, but I think Tele's actually sound better than Strats.
It really depends on what tone you're looking for, but my choice is Tele.
