Jesus Of Suburbia, Too Long?

Yeah, what do you guys think about it? JOS is so long that most video channels didn't play it a lot. Radio stations didn't play it much (compared to some other songs). Now, is the song just too long (and just an egotistical creative splurge), or does it just take the whole nine minutes and eight seconds to tell the story?
I think, with the subsections of the songs, it gives the guys a chance to really change things up, which keeps it from getting too monotonous. The song has to be that long because it's not just telling one or two incidents/feelings, it's kind of a series of events/feelings.

Yah! I think that ive heard that they already started shooting? And supposibly done late 2006. Im not sure but I cant wait.

i would go and see the film just cos its about green day!! i imagine that the music channels will do alot of cuttin to make it about 3 mins long probably!!

if they did do a JOS vid. it would probably be smart to do it like r.kelly did with his 5 part song, record a video for every part...

yeah thats very true. theyre just soo big now. its hard to say theyre not becomming sell outs cos i think theyre such a great band

yea and i also think that theirs pushing themselves way to far...doing all this movie shit...but they all ready are sell outs in a sense...when they switched to a major label...but now their just becoming so mainstream its ridiculous...

yes definetly. in a way its gud cos it means they do gigs in more places so theres more of a chance to see them but its also bad cos of all the otha big scale movies and stuff. it is ridiculous i agree. they can now charge like £35 for a hoodie, and well .. they r just the biggest band eva at the mo. i liked it wen they wernt as popular. i guess im one of them jealous fans who likes to keep a band to themselves!! lol
