This is so trippy. I was just about to browse for a Nirvana thread, because I am in a Nirvana-extremely-heavy mood. I have listened to nothing but Nirvana today. They're even on my shirt.

I wish I could have met Nirvana. It would be really, really cool to meet Kurt and Krist.. but I love Dave a lot too.

My new Rec teacher got to go see Nirvana on their last tour, when she was in grade 11.. or something. The details didn't matter, she just got to see Nirvana. Silly cow with a lisp..

Are you Canadian? On MuchMoreMusic they were showing the Cobain Case, and all the evidence they have against Courtney. Like phone calls, saying that she would kill him if he left her. She allegedly even hired a guy to kill Kurt, for $50,000. But he didn't.

My only question was: WHY? How could you bear to even THINK about killing someone so talented? He was the voice of a generation. Unwillingly, I know, but there is a REASON Nirvana's music still holds true to people today.

I just thought it was freaky. She was probably jealous that he was so talented, and she had to get him to write lyrics for her band. That's probably why I don't mind Hole. Because, lyrically, the lyrics that Courtney "wrote" sounded a lot like Kurt's writing style.

That's why I edited my earlier post, because now I understood what you were trying to say.

Okay. I understand what you all are trying to say. I do. But as a Nirvana fan, I don't agree that we Nirvana fans hate bands that are commercial. Because, then, why would you be on a Green Day fan website? Kurt's favorite band (the Beatles) were about as commercial as they come. Over one billion records sold worldwide. Yet, Kurt talked ALL THE TIME about how, when he was growing up, he pretty much only listened to the Beatles. So saying that Nirvana fans hate when bands are commercial isn't true.

Nirvana fans hate when bands are so ghey and commercial and fake. Like more than half the bands out there right now.

I'm not trying to pick a fight, I just thought I'd share my opinion.

Emo = gangster? That's just frightening.

But anyway. Yeah, being technically "commercial" isn't really a bad thing in itself, if it just means selling a lot of records. But with most bands, the success goes to their heads and then they can't write good songs anymore, which is sad.

I tried Smells Like Teen Spirit on the guitar once because i thought it was the easiest song, but I kinda forgot about it. I could start playing it again.
I like Mr Moustache, Big Cheese, Hearts-Shaped Box and Rape Me very much, too. But at the moment I like Lithium best.

That is a great song. Sometimes I just play the beginning of it on guitar over and over because it sounds really cool.

I love Nirvana. I think Kurt was amazing. I love his lyrics so much, and his voice. I'm very sad that he's not here anymore ... R.I.P. Kurt.
My favorite songs at the moment are "You Know You're Right," "The Man Who Sold the World," "Heart Shaped Box," and "All Apologies." I practically cry every time I hear All Apologies.

I love Nirvana.That and Green Day was what I grew up on.When I was four I apparently used to sing 'Come As You Are' heh.I even did a project on Kurt for literacy class.

The only album I own would be Intesticide but I've heard most songs when I browse through something like myspace.
