how do you read drum tabs?
is it like guitar tabs or very different.
and whats a good name for drums (eg. guitar is gibson)?

good starter kits are Yamaha, CB, DW... any cheap kit is a good starter.
Premier kits are pretty good value for money. |

"s"=snare
"hh"-hi-hat
"bd"=bass drum.....and so on and so forth. And as for brands i'd say Pearl is probably the best, though my kit is a shitty Striker |

yeah your right they are the best kits especially orange county, but they are really expensive
I use pearl export but i bought mine of a freind and it hasd symbols it only cost £310 but they are usually more than that! |

I think Zildjian just make cymbals and sticks (I could be wrong but I'm pretty sure). I use the Tre signature sticks too - I think he would've designed them partly- they are size 5Bs like Zildjians regular 5B sticks, only they're longer, feel very slightly chunkier. |

Some sites that have drum tabs also have audio samples so you can hear what the tab should sound like. You might find this helpful. www.drumbum. has links to lots of sites like this.  |
