I've been obsessive about them for one year, officially. I was a casual fan for about six months before that. So yes, without the American Idiot hype I might not have gotten into them but I also don't give a shit.

Just like as if Jackass Age: - Gender: - Posts: 1887	December 16th, 2005 at 10:48am Since December 2004 or so. I had heard about them before, but seeing the A.I.-vid got me to them. Good times. And it doesn't matter how long you've liked a band or if you're a teenie/poser/whatever you like to call the ones who like only one song or two. There's nothing wrong with it. You don't have to know the drummer's kid's name to be a proper fan of their music. The older fans just like to get arrogant about their knowledge. I used to find out every single piece of info I possibly could, but now it doesn't matter. I don't even like them anymore.
