When Christ died on his cross, he had 5 deep wounds in hisbody, hands, feet and chest. In history, there are hunderds of people who got the wounds of Christ spontanious. Most of those people got also wounds on their forehead from the thorncrown. Some people suffer from pain constantly, others got the wounds only on Friday or holidays. They have visions and speak other languages, mostly Aramaic, the language that jesus spoke. Sometimes they could write it as well. according to a religious legend, there have to be 12 people with stigmatawounds all over the world, referring to Jesus and his 12 disciples. Historians confirm that that statement is true in the last two centuries. The phenomenon stigmata is not somehing historic, it appears to people on these days. All over the world, this fascinating and frightening symptom has stupefied many scientist and doctors. But stigmata originates by pure strength of mind and reasoning power. Jozef Rulof, a visionary, died in 1952, gave a proof On a trance lecture about the Son of God in amsterdam, he concentrated on Christ and the wounds appeared spontanious. Every listeners could see them or thouch them. A human is like he thinks, the proverb says That’s why it is not really amazing that stigmata originates (mostly) on Catholics. But there are exceptions! In 2000, the film Stigmata released and the Church was against it. The movie showed a young atheïst who got stigmata because she was obsessed with a ghost of a priest and not by strength of mind. But it’s not unbelievable that she could get it, look to the example of Jozef Rulof I mentioned before. The Church has forbidden the movie not only because of the stigmata, but also about the gospel of Thomas, that was the essence of the movie, bu the church thinks that’s unbelievable, because Thomas writes what Jesus had said before: ‘there are no needs for churches’ but that’s another story to tell. I have some conclusions 1. almost every person who had stigmata was Catholic or extremely religious. 2. all persons were affected by the suffer of the Son of God 3. all stigmatisated people lived from the Holy Host 4. it is amazing that all stigmatisated persons received their wounds in the palms of their hands, like pictures, sculptures and paintings tell us, but not in the wrists, like Jesus got when he was crossed.
