in ten years there gonna come out with a new album that gonna be as big as AI and ppl are gonna say oh AI and Dookie were so much better, because they wanna sound like they no about Green day's backround i think wut they did helped bring rock and roll back to the mainstream rock almost completely disappeared and they brought it back in 2003 u saw rap and hip hop and no rock they helped bring it back to life and with came the reuniting of a bajillion bands like motley crue and judas priest. they did something great and no one is gonna forget anytime soon |

sure, theyre music is "overplayed" and such--i agree on that--but it shows a new side of them. Theyre older/wiser. I really wouldnt believe it if you guys told me that your werent expecting them to go in this direction somehow.
Plus, in case you guys didnt watch Driven, they could have broken up. But thankfully, they set aside theyre diffrences and kept going. And they sound as good as they did 10 years ago.
I love the album, and they deserve all the recognition theyre getting. |

Age: - Gender: Female Posts: 3243 | November 11th, 2005 at 08:47pm I think they're still good lyrically as you pointed out,
But the music is a little dull.
I won't deny American Idiot was a great album
but the songs pretty much sounds like blah after a while.
When you listen to a song like Burnout or Welcome To Paradise,
then listen to American Idiot or BOBD there's no comparesin(sp?). |
