l;dgjhkdj I loveeeee playing that song sooo much. It's so easy and I love how he adds the pinky on the high e string and it gives the lovely sweet sound RAWR. Definitely one of my fave Foo songs to play.
Ah Me too! ... along with a million other Foo songs Wink They're all fun to play.

I couldn't remember how to play Marigold for the sake of my life today. I remembered the chords I just completely blanked out when it came to the rhythm lmfao. I wanted to shoot myself but I keep playing Ain't it the Life all the time and now thatI've been playing my electric a lot more I don't like playing Big Me on the acoustic cuz I lvoe when I turn down the Treble and flip the switch up and get that cool sound liek the original. It's not as xcore but close enough.

It doesn't sound bad acoustic but once you get a taste of what it sounds liek when you play with the settings it's awesome. Like I don't really like playin For All The Cows acoustic cuz it doesn't have the same ...power? But I'll play Ain't it the Life and Aurora since I don't have the echo Molly I NEED PEDALS. GAH. I'm trying to save up for some. I've only gotten like 15 bucks so far for chanukah. goddammit. But I think I'm getting money from my family in Cali, England and my grandparents. So GZA YAY.

Learn Stacked Actors Ah I only know the intro but goddammit it's ugh. SO MUCH FUN. I could just stand all day and play it over and over. *hums*

Rolling Stone review of Skin and Bones:

Foo Fighters

Skin And Bones

RS: 3of 5 Stars Average User Rating: 4.5of 5 Stars

2006

View Foo Fighters's page on Rhapsody

Since his old band made the greatest unplugged album ever, Dave Grohl deserves credit for simply having the stones to release a stripped-down Foo Fighters disc. But Skin and Bones -- recorded live during three recent Los Angeles shows -- lacks the revelatory power of its predecessor: Grohl sometimes seems unwilling to stick with bare-bones arrangements, pushing his giant band (which included the Wallflowers' Rami Jaffee, violinist Petra Haden and former Foo Pat Smear) into unnecessary big-rock crescendos in the final bars. Still, the album's best and most restrained moments -- the mostly guitar-and-voice opener, "Razor"; the plaintive, folky take on "Big Me"; and the climactic, slow-building "Everlong" -- illustrate how Grohl's songwriting gift moved him out of Kurt Cobain's shadow in the first place.

But of course they HAVE to reference to Nirvana Rolling Eyes I do sorta agree with it somewhat. As much as I love the Skin and Bones album, they did go a little over the top. Even if I'm a bigger Foo Fan I think I still prefer Nirvana's Unplugged.

I acutally JUST learned Stacked Actors a few days ago. It's fun to play, but my band can't cover it yet cause all of the local places are only looking for mellow music Rolling Eyes

Elana, you smell bad. I'm not THAT short. Razz

Stacked Actors is so fun. One of these days I'll actually tune my guitar into the proper tuning, I think it's A, and play it right.

And yeah. No one ever reviews the Foos without referencing Nirvana. *shrug* It's kinda inevitable, I guess. Annoying but inevitable.

Yeah it's inevitable. Dave just ignores it, He's a swell dude. TUNE IT ANNIE. God. It takes 5 seconds to tune one string. I haven't played Daughter in ages though cuz I'm much too lazy to go into G tuning. I love it but I'm fucking lazy.

I want another electric guitar so I can have one tuned 1/2 step down and the other in standard. That way I can switch between Nirvana/Green Day songs on the 1/2 step electic and standard for Foo songs.

He's fucking adorable with all the references of his daughter and he's actually really political and stuff. It's interesting. READ DAMMIT.

Ironically I was just talking to my mom about Global warming 2 minutes before I read this. We were talking about the Rolling Stone article about the trillion dollar war.
