I don't think I have a favorite... I mean. I love Taylor the most because of his attitude and personality but musically wise or in general I can't pick a favorite. It's like trying to pick out your favorite child lmfao

That's very true. I guess I like Dave a tiny bit more also because of how he overcame all that Nirvana trouble with such class. Yeah, classy guy, classy guy. Have you seen this interview he had with Andrew Denton on YouTube? I kind of found it by accident, but after I saw it that's when I just HAD to decide Dave probably has one of the best attitudes out of all rock stars everywhere. If you want the link, I can give it to you, but I have a good feeling you'd have seen it.

T's the best, too. I gotta say, he's a better drummer than Dave. Don't get me wrong, but Dave just has this amazing "air" about him when he drums, I think that's why people like him so much. But T has much more finesse than him - they're both awesome though!

And that Chris thing! Holy shit, that just... doesn't sound like him. I mean, that's just..... Ima go slap that bitch!!! Well, not really... must breathe easy here... NATE SHALL BE MY FOO LOVE(R) from now on. Used to be Chris, but... are you SURE???? Wow, just... wow... I've heard mostly GOOD things about Chris!

I might have seen this interview but I'd defintiely would love the link Smile Is it the Australian one or something? Think I've seen a bunch on youtube. I admire Dave for stepping from behind the drums of one of the greatest bands ever and picking up a guitar and singing for the first time ever in a band. I admire his love for music. People have said that he doesn't even really mind people downloading music illegally (i mean, hell the man has enough money anyways) but that just shows that he doesn't care because it's good to know that people are listenign to music. I admire that.

I guess I'd agree with what you say about Taylor's drumming. They're just completely different drummers. They're opposites. Taylor's more into the mellow drumming and he adds more fills here and there. Basically to me, his drumming is "prettier." I love Dave's drumming just as much as Taylor's because his is simple and fucking hard. I've seen concerts where he drummed for Nirvana and when he hits those cymbals... they look like they're gonna fucking snap in half.

In TINLTL Dave and Taylor split the drumming in half. They were having this whole discussion on the Foo board about it. I can't remember which songs they did.

Here's what they came up with:
Dave:
Stacked Actors (if Dave only did 4 then I would put this as Taylor)
Learn To Fly
Gimme Stitches
Live-In Skin
Next Year

Taylor:
Breakout
Generator
Aurora
Headwires
Ain't It The Life
M.I.A.

And it's kinda cool because you can actually tell the different drumming. I mean look at Aurora and Ain't it the Life... and then compare it to Stacked Actors. Meh. I'm talking too much XD

As for Chris yeah... It's really sad Sad I see him as a different person now, I mean I still respect his music and all but Sad

I loved Chris at first I mean I thought he was good looking but I just never got a warm vibe from him. He was nice sometimes and stuff from what I saw in interviews but if one of the guys in the band was gonna be an asshole my first guess would immediately be Chris. It's the whole "tough guy" "macho" thing

Yeah... when I think about it, it actually makes sense, I guess I was just blinded by his overwhelming good-lookingness... And I think Dave joked about Chris starting most of the fights in the band so... Confused WELL. Now I wish Pat was in the band instead of Chris - but just a little, because Chris has been there for almost the same amount of time now.

And I didn't know about TINLTL being split in half! I had a hunch that Dave did some of the drumming on the album, cause I read about it somewhere, but I didn't know who did what. But, yeah, you're right, you can't compare their drumming styles, they're totally different! I guess a punk/metal-head would probably prefer Dave, and us Alternatives might prefer T.

Oh, and here's a link for the page on YouTube that has all five parts of the interview. Clicky Click! And yeah, it's Australian, I think it's called Enough Rope.

Oh yeah! I saw that interview. I'll prolly watch it again. I remmeber one part where he got all sheepish and cute and stuff. I wanna watch that again. lmfao.

And I think Chris needs to add more to the band. he's got the talent to do so but he just doesn't do it enough. He pretty much kinda changes what Dave does on the CD or wahtever. I hope we get to see more solos from Chris in the next album. The problem with Pat was that he HATED doing lead guitar parts. He would rather play rhythm and just double over what Dave was doing and I guess that was one of the reasons why he left. BUt I'm glad he came back for the acoustic tour Smile He adds character to the band XD

I thik I like Dave's drumming for certain songs but take a song like Aurora... if Dave did it... it would probably be totally different. Tay's got the knack for adding pretty fills and stuff here and there and Aurora is totally Tay. Dave would ruin it hah

I have LimeWire, but and it's almost impossible to find some of their unreleased stuffs/B-sides! I'm looking for that Iron and Stone cover (I think that's what it was) and Normal right now. Do you have them?

Dude, I always wondered which ones they drummed on, because I knew they split it and I figured Stacked Actors was Dave but I didn't know besides that. Why did they split it up like that?

Dave is indeed classy. Cool He almost NEVER says anything bad about Courtney or anything, which is quite diplomatic of him.

He says Tay's a better drummer than he is, too, and I've never been able to compare them all that well because their styles are really different...I always really like watching Dave drumming in Nirvana concert videos, but I suppose I have to admit T is a lot flashier, at least in concerts - a lot of times on the albums he doesn't sound all that special - and he probably is overall better.
