High Fidelity Falling In Love With The Board
Age: 33 Gender: Female Posts: 7797 | February 22nd, 2007 at 03:56pm Janie Jones:I like TINLTL and TCATS the best, just about equally actually...I dunno, I don't love 1x1 that much except a couple songs. All the songs that I've heard from it sound pretty similar, lyrically and musically, and there are only a few standouts (which are mostly the singles). I liked IYH a lot when I first got it, but I got sick of most of the rock half pretty quickly.
And plus, every band always thinks their newest album is their best if it's just come out (I mean, they're not gonna say "I'm really disappointed in this, it's not nearly as good as the last one" so it usually takes a few years for them to be able to look at it more objectively, as far as I can tell. I like them equally too, because I love all of the songs on both, with the exception of maybe one so-so song. I was in love with IYH when I first got it, but I dunno, I'm really sick of it now. I still like the acoustic CD, but really, that's not a new record since a lot of the material on it is older (ex. Friend of a Friend). |

TCATS is growing onto me. I listened to the CD from front to back the other day and I honestly could only skip about 3 or 4 songs. I still don't really like Doll, See You, Monkey Wrench and My Hero that much. But the other songs are good. |
