seriously...I have hard drives full of this stuff. I just uncovered Pretty Hate Machine by NIN on there and it has made my night. I have so much music I don't even know what I have anymore.

well, by the time you're 19 you'll be closer...I grew up when internet downloading was kinda a new thing. I remember when Napster was released and went mainstream, which would have been fall '99. Before that, you had to find things on IRC or Lycos, but it could be done. Everyone went download insane and a lot of what I have (at least in terms of stuff I wanted to get) came from that era. I had to reaquire a lot of it as bitrates increased, because pretty much anything you got off it back then would be 16 or 32 kbps. 64kbps was the gold standard back then. now 320 or VBR is, and MAN do they sound different!

Ah, i'm dating myself now. You just have to aquire as you go, beg borrow and steal from others, get anything you even remotely like.

And pretty soon, you'll have a jillion songs and wonder how the hell you're going to find anything Very Happy

Very Happy sweet, I'm looking forward to that day. Actually I'm planning to put a lot of songs on the computer today, new CDs I've gotten or old ones I've found, plus the songs you just posted. Cool

It was good. I don't think I've ever eaten so much Ice Cream in 2 days. lmfao. I had homemade Cornell ice cream last night and then Ben and Jerrys at RIT.

I was so happy when I found they actually have a B&J at RIT. It was cool. But yeha. College visiting was fun. Tiring, but fun.

I don't think I've ever listened to one band for 5 hours at a time. Even on that school day when I decided I'd listen to every single Green Day album in its entirety...wow, that was eighth grade...I commend you for your dedication. Or something.

I can only do it really with the Foo and Green Day. Nirvana there's too many songs that hurt my eyes with Kurt's goddammned screaming. Mostly the Foos becuase there are so many good songs Cheese

Ah shit. I have a little Ben and Jerry's discount thing I could have used. It was in my wallet and I didn't have it so that wouldn't have helped. Don't mind me I'm just thinking outloud.

I have mixes I can listen to for that long, but I can't listen to one band for that long, it all starts to sound the same after awhile.

If I'm mixing a song, I can listen to it for a couple hours, tops, before the mix starts to sound like shit and I stop.

what I wouldn't give to have the original 8 track masters of the foos first album to mix. The thought of being able to bring up the vocals and mess with the levels and channels on 'exhausted' makes me feel giddy.

But I don't do mixes very often, so it's rare that I listen to a song for all that long.

I get musically bored pretty quickly- I have to really like an album to listen to the whole thing,
