That one with dave's shirt off and taylor looking like anthony kiedis, that's my favorite dave!

I liked him better before he got the red cuffs on his arms. I don't know why but they just don't look...dave. I liked them better before he got them filled in, I think.

I have a shit ton of pics but they're mostly of dave and shifty, because i don't know, taylor's just a little too hyperactive californian for me, I think.

*cries* I had a lot more pics of Dave to post but i accidentally pressed a button and i lost it Finger
Ah yeah I think that's my favorite Dave. I've always loved that picture because Dave is all tan and fucking gorgeous..

I'm with you. I like it better before he got it filled in. It just takes up so much of his arms and meh., i hate the idea of huge ass tattoos. I like simple little tatoos. I love Taylor's eagle tattoo. It's so cool. just a big black eage. It's cool. Or Hawk.. I don't what it is.

I'm seeing how much it would cost me to get a firebird made to custom specs. Not that I am at all good enough to warrant a custom guitar--I like the styling, but I want a smaller, narrower neck and a lighter body. The headstock could be smaller, too. I have itty bitty girls' hands and it's hard for me to keep my fingers off other strings because they're not long enough to reach all the way around the neck.

I have long fingers, so i usually don't have problems. My problem when I play guitar is that i'm a fucking sloppy picker. I'm just lazy and stuff. I love the style of the Xplorer. If I can get custom pickups and stuff I would love it. but it's fucking expensive and I don't know enough about customizing guitars to do anything. I just love the body and the headstock of the xplorer.

pickups are super easy to change. I've swapped mine twice and I'm not playing like slash over here.

I played an explorer and I just can't balance it well enough. I love my cort a lot but I want something a little...classier I guess, to mess around with, with some serious rock pickups.

I want something with a smaller body. The fender I have I feel like it just takes upo my whole body. That's why I like the Xplorer and the Flying V cuz they're smaller and sorta classy but not insane.

I don't know anything about pickups Dno

Well, it depends on what sounds you want- pickups change the sound of a guitar. if you like crunchy, grungy distortion, then maybe a SD JB Hot Rails or a DiMarzio is a good idea...if you're more bluesy, maybe a gibson '57.

Also depends on the guitar you have- if it's wired for single coil you'll have to get it routed for humbuckers, and the other way around. I purposefully bought a guitar with dual humbuckers because I like the sound a lot better, so now I can swap out for any other humbucker.

A good set of new pickups will cost you probably about $150, and the work to get them professionally installed (I know how to do it, but my dad's also an electrical engineer lol). I have to change out my strings, I'm not happy with them and I'm having trouble playing them.

Just stuff you pick up around when you date someone who's obsessed with his guitar.

What are you playing? a standard strat? that uses single coils, so you actually have a lot of options. I'm a fan of pulling out the standard strat pickups and putting in something dirtier- strats sound really bright and bubbly to me, and I like things to sound like you might have accidentally run the guitar through the washing machine. I like the SD JB on a strat.

My personal guitar has a DiMarzio PAF pro in the neck position and a DiMarzio super distortion at the bridge position. I'm liking it a lot. I want to pick up a white guitar so I can leave my pickups exposed, because the PAF pro is hot pink!

ya gotta hear a guitar sound you like and then go for it yourself. I got the idea for the PAF/super distortion from a guitar of Kurt's, a '65 jaguar from like 1991.

I'd kill to know what dave is putting in his guitars. In the early days they looked like stock gibson pickups but I doubt they are now, unless that's part of his endorsement deal.

Oh god, i forget. I saw it SO long ago. I think it was a really old one, like 80's-ish. It's also at the begining of Nevermind: "They call me the swan cause I wave my magic wand and I love all the women to death."
HI EL HOW ARE YOU?
