I KNOW. Cheese The New York bill sucks and the London one at least has the RHCP and the Foos...and the Beastie Boys might be amusing Laughing

My dad called me to tell me Sting was on the cover because he knows how much I enjoy making fun of Sting lmfao

I STILL BUY CDS, DAMMIT. I mean, I do download, but mostly just individual songs - if I want a whole album I'd rather buy it for real.

I want to live in LA

The postboard just declared that they're going to have a special Foo event on Thurs... if it's a concert... fuckkk. I think they have to answer questions and do a quiz or something to find out the exact locations. Grmml

I KNOW THESE ANSWERS! And of course I'm under 21. Molly

A) One by One
B) Dave - Queens of the Stone Age - Songs for the Deaf (yeah, that's right, not taking the easy way and saying Nirvana. Fizz )
Nathan - Sunny Day Real Estate - Diary
Shifty - Me First & the Gimme Gimmes - Me First & the Gimme Gimmes Are a Drag
Tay - Taylor Hawkins and the Coattail Riders - s/t

yay. And I found this on Taylor's wikipedia article:
While spending time with a few other bands in 1997 at an amusement park he was accidentally shot by Tre Cool with a BB gun.

lmfao lmfao lmfao lmfao

Setlist:
atom willard was there (drummer for offspring and angels&airwaves.. he was cool to talk to). also pat smear was there. no jack black which was surprising considering jack was at the white stripes show last night.. Dave and Chris were mingling in the crowd before their set.. fan/emailwinners had orange wristbands.. friends/family/guestlisters had silver wristbands.. and the silver wristbands FAR outweight the orange wristbands, for some reason.. anyway, I didnt see dave talking to any fans, just his family/friends. I saw his mom. i had a sharpie but didnt have the nerve to interrupt his conversations with buddies.. he took one picture with some oaf.. Nate had an amish style beard.. more on that later..

foos take stage at 1030pm.. quotes are from dave.. "favorite fuckin practice space in the world...big show saturday..need to shake off some cobwebs..been in the studio awhile.."
----Breakout
----Times Like These
----All My Life
----My Hero
it was extremely hot in the club.. dave sweating like crazy
"we made a new record.. we'll call it paladino! (name of the club)
----Learn to Fly
----Cheer Up Boys, Your MakeUps Running (new song) sample lyrics: it was meant to be, never stop to ask me why, theres a world out there, give me one last wish
"we've never done that before!.. this is a family audience.. come to the police show and start a pit there! fuckin wine and cheese crowd..
----For All The Cows (Dave mostly forgot the lyrics to the second verse "Note to self: go home and study words"
"Really lookin forward to playin this one for the police crowd"
----Stacked Actors (with mega-jam)
"I felt pretty good about that"
----Everlong
----"Monkeywrenchu" (with mega-jam) "that was right off the top of my head.. can you believe that shit? and it happening right now! that shit just happens" (another jam) "other one was better.. I got one more" (reggae style jam) "I fuckin hate reggae" (polka style jam) "I hate polka too actually" .. "bad brains?.. (bad brains style jam) "thats my favorite so far.. break it down for you?" (finishes the mid-song rant).. (closes with drum solo)

"we're having a beard contest except for chris.. i remember you with a beard!it made me want to eat your face! (chris says he can't grow one).. "applause for taylor's beard, my beard.. I can put hair from my cheek into my fuckin mouth.. not cool!.. nate's beard (nate gets the most applause and he uncharacteristically hams it up) "beard solo!"
"thanks for letting us practice, we've been in the studio for 4 months.. if you think were going to put out a record, goto paladino every night.. anyone coming saturday? rich people.. that's a lot of coke!
----Best of You
-----------------------------------------------------------------
Encore 11:43pm
"this is my new best friend.. dg606 gibson prototype.. this is a song we haven't played in years"
----New Way Home
End 1150pm

New Way Home <3

Original Setlist:
Breakout
Times Like These
Generator*
All My Life
My Hero
No Way Back*
For All The Cows
Big Me*
Stacked Actors
Low*
Everlong
Monkeywrench
Best of You
---------------- (encore)
Cheer Up, Boys, Your Make-up's Running**
Aurora*
New Way Home (so awesome to hear this)

the songs with asterisks were on the set list but weren't actually played. "cheer up" is a new song, standard foo fare, but it wasn't played as the encore, it was actually played much earlier in the set, don't remember where though.

The Cheer Up Boys, Your Make Up's Running is a new song I think and it's supposedly people think that they're making fun of emo music since Dave apparently hates it.

Cheer Up Boys, Your Makeup's Running - Audio (right click to download)

Cheer Up Boys, Your Makeup's Running - Video (ditto)

I haven't listened or watched either so I dunno how the quality is. I think someone's gonna post the show on a torrent site eventually.
