Age: 34 Gender: Female Posts: 5438 | July 31st, 2007 at 08:58pm Guess what? Guess what? I'M BACK IN BLACK BITCHES.
Here is my attempt to sum up the last few pages in one post:
The name of the new album is lamer than Dane Cook. Honestly, it sounds like the name of a generic emo album they'd promote on Fuse. However, the songs could still be kickass Foo.
OMG MICK JONES LIBERTINES LOVE LOVE LOVE *dies* Kristy, you are my favorite. Ever. Which is why I owe you some songs, which I will be getting to shortly.
The other day, Darling Nikki came on Sirius when Tom and I were in the car with my cousin's fiance. Awkwarddd. And, since I'm a huge geek, I finished HP7 within a day of getting it. I have to say I didn't really love the ending, but I probably wouldn't have liked any ending for it so meh. I don't want to give too much away cos I don't know who's finished it or not, but I was depressed cos one of my all-time favorite characters died and she made it really anticlimactic.
I still can't dig the Police. But I got to be a rock star a few weeks ago so that was cool. Not that that has anything to do with the Police but oh well.
I think that's about it. |

Age: 34 Gender: Female Posts: 26154 | August 3rd, 2007 at 01:19am Apparently the new single has been played on some radio stations. Someon on the Foo board is going to upload and send me a link to it and I'll post the full song here for you guys. I was listening to the radio in the car when I went to get my haircut hoping Krock or some station would play it. I'm gonna check their sites now to see if any of the stations I listen to have played it today. |

The Fool On The Hill Had A Life Before GSB
Age: 34 Gender: Female Posts: 26154 | August 3rd, 2007 at 02:02am First assumption of what the lyrics are: - They're a little too random for my liking but then this is DAve we're tlaking about.
Keep you in the dark you know they all pretend
Keep you in the dark and so it all began
Send in your skeletons
Sing as their bones go marching in again
They need you buried deep
The secrets that you keep are ever ready
Are you ready
I'm finished making sense
Done bleeding ignorance at home defense
Spinning and (spinning)/(spin it) deeper
The wheel is spinning me
It's never ending
Never ending
Same old story
What if I say I'm not like the others
What if I say I'm not just another one of your plays
You're the pretender
What if I say I will never surrender
In time I'm so untold(?)
I'm just another soul for sale
Oh well
The pages outa'(?) press
We are not permanent
Temporary
Temporary
Same old story
What if I say I'm not like the others
What if I say I'm not just another one of your plays
You're the pretender
What if I say I will never surrender
I'm the voice <REMOVED> inside your head
You refuse to hear
I'm the face that you have to face
Mirroring your stare
I'm what's left
I'm what's right
I'm the enemy
I'm the hand that took you down
Bring you to your knees
So who are you
Yeah who are you
Yeah who are you
Yeah who are you
Keep you in the dark you know they all pretend
What if I say I'm not like the others
What if I say I'm not just another one of your plays
You're the pretender
What if I say I will never surrender
So who are you
Yeah who are you
Yeah who are YOUUUUUU!!!!

Age: 34 Gender: Female Posts: 5438 | August 3rd, 2007 at 11:55pm The song's decent. I'm with Kristy, I'll probably randomly obsess about it in a week or two. Or at least spaz upon hearing it on the radio.
you mean you don't have Boys in the Band? that's my favorite one must've left it out somehow.
Boys in the Band
and my computer's screwed up so I still have the second half of that album to give you, and also their whole second album if you want. |

Age: 34 Gender: Female Posts: 26154 | August 4th, 2007 at 06:26pm A lot of people like the song. I definitely like it more than BOY so it's a better first single then BOY obviously but I'm still not crazy about the song. Sounds like something on IYH shold have sounded like. I think I just need to either listen to the song more or listen to the album as a whole once it comes out. |

Age: 33 Gender: Female Posts: 7797 | August 4th, 2007 at 11:11pm Thanks Annie! More Libs would be great.
I heard The Pretender on the radio today. It's starting to grow on me, it's actually stuck in my head right now. I like Best of You better though (lyrically, mostly). And you saying BOY threw me off, I thought you meant Bastards of Young. Too much Mats for me. |

Age: 34 Gender: Female Posts: 5438 | August 5th, 2007 at 01:05am BOY completely baffled me at first too. Except I thought you were talking about the U2 album and couldn't figure out why you capitalized it. Maybe I should sleep more.
more music on the way! |
