nvm Laughing You're going with your dad.
Fuck. I want to go. I wish I was like 18 or something so I could drive down there. Next year Finger And I'm going to see them any time they come to NYC. And I talked to my grandpa who has a client who works for the Lincoln Center (Its how I got tix to see FOW last year or 2years ago, can't remember when) and he said he might know some people for Irving so .. *crosses fingers* I'm hoping it'll work. And I've been calling in to K-Rock and I'm hoping they'll do an online sale sooner or later. ANd the admin of the Fooboard told someone they may have like a handful of tix saved for Postboarders.. so *crosses fingers*

I'm getting really obsessed with this now lmfao.

Holy shit. I'm listening to K-Rock and BOBD came on and it took me a few seconds to register what song it was. It's so weird listening to this song again. I haven't heard it in so fucking long.

I cracked Sad

I'm listening to ESPG now. It's much better than I was imagining it to be.

Annie, I don't think you're gonna like the CD, well you won't LOVE it. There's a shitload of acoustic stuff, but it's really pretty acoustic stuff. The only song so far that sounds anything like they're old stuff is Cheer Up Boys, which you have already heard...the live version at least.

But oh my god. Ther'es this one song, Let It Die, I heard and I was almost bawling. It's so fucking pretty.

The whole CD is just... shocking. It's good, but it doesn't even sound like the Foo. I mean it still is them, but they just sound so different.

Kristy, you'll probably like Statues, a lot of people say it sounds like Paul McCartney's band, the Wings. I really like it. I'm listening to it now.

Gil and Chris is a good combo. They let Chris rip. There's so many little Chris solos, and they're all really really good. finally they're letting Chris step up. he's alwyas been sort of in the background but he stands out in this album. It's definitely a guitarist's album. Ther'es a lot of great guitar work

*shuts up*

The gist I'm getting about the album is that it's like if both IYH discs were combined and all the filler was cut out, which sounds good to me. tehe

The acoustic stuff sounds like they've got the hang of what they were trying to do with IYH Disc 2. You just get a sense that Dave knew what he wanted and how he wanted everything done. It's very organized. The rock stuff... it's not as powerful and obviously they're basically the weakest songs on the album. The song that sounds closest to normal/original Foo is Cheer Up Boys. I thought there was one song that sounds like fucking Gin Blossoms. That's their rock stuff. Gin Blossoms isn't very powerful but they're electric. You can get a sense of what's going on in their life, like you can tell that they're comortable, they've got a family theyve got kids they're settling down. Dammit. I can't explain it

Let It Die <3 I'm listening to it on repeat. The screaming part is .... Sex

The breakdown part sorta reminds me of Whatsername where they just kinda go doo doo doo doo doo ... ah crap. You just need to hear it. 9 more days.
