Did you and Kurt Cobain have nicknames : for each other? - Matt Jenky, via email
No, Nirvana weren't a nickname kinda band. There wasn't a whole lot of cutesy chatter going on. There wasn't a whole lot of chatter going on! And what chatter there was wasn't very cute. ln Foo Fighters? Nate we call Ned. Taylor is called T. They call me Disco. And Shiflett we either call Shifty or Shitty. Usually Shifty, because he doesn't like Shitty so much.

lmfao lmfao. I love Ned and Shitty lmfao.

OK, so after listening to ESPG about a bagillion times, here's what I've decided. tehe

Long Road to Ruin is absolutely my favorite song on the album, and possibly one of my favorite Foo songs, period. I also love Let it Die, The Pretender, Stranger Things Have Happened, and Cheer Up Boys (Your Makeup is Running). Erase/Replace is one of those songs I regret ever having heard, I absolutely can't STAND it, I even took it off my iPod. The Ballad of the Beaconsfield Miners is really awesome, but I'm not sure what it's place is on the album. Statues and Home are really lame, they're good songs but not Foo songs. But, Honestly's good, not fantastic or anything, but I like it. So that leaves Come Alive and Summer's End, they're just boring songs, I don't like them or dislike them, they're just kind of filler.

Fuck. I have to import ESPG onto my itunes. I keep forgetting.
I love LRTR too! I had it stuck in my head during my soccer game the other day. Its just a poppy catchy song. Let It Die <3 Obviously you know that by now tehe Stranger Things to me is sort of a so-so song. I like it sometimes but other times I don't. The bridgeis just..weird. The part where he goes "I can change I can change..." blah blah all that repetitive stuff. I really like the chrous a lot. "You are not alone dear loneliness" It's just catchy.

I've rarely listened to Cheer Up Boys. I can't get into it. I dunno why. It's just boring and weird and Dave's singing is weird and doesn't seem to fit with the song, just the rhythm of his singing and the rhythm of the music don't seem to flow together IMO

A lot of people have been saying that about Ballad. They like it but it just doesn't seem to fit in with the album. I havne't been listening to it cuz I skip over it or it wasn't included on the burnt CD i made and I forgot to add it .I need to listen through the entire CD from front to back again. Haven't done that. I've just been playing 2,4,6,8,10 lol.

Erase/Replace is a bad song. I'm totally with you. The only part I can remotely stand is the "oh no don't talk about it" part. but even that gets fucking annoying at times. I know Dave feels he needs to add some rocking songs.... but jesus.. don't think about it too hard. He works best when he's not trying to go in any direction, just plays music.

I hate But, Honestly. I don't know. I just ugh... When I heard it live, I loved it cuz of the cello but the album version is just boring. And Come Alive is okay .. I like it sometimes I like the "no reason to survive" part when the cello/violin/strings whatever and the other instruments come in.

I acutally like Statues. It's catchy. I love the breakdown part with stones turn to dust or whatever. Need to listen to ti again. Summer's End is just eh to me. I like it but it's a bit TOO country, which is sorta hypocritical cuz it acutally sounds somewhat like the Eagles but its a bit too much on the country side. The Eagles to me manage to keep it on the rock side without sounding too Country, Summer's End is just.. TOO much.

And The Pretender.. I love but I can only listen to it at certain times. I need to be in the mood to listen to that song Laughing I don't thnk it's anything special though, it's just a good song to listen to lol.

Recently discovered the Foo; my mom brought home Skin And Bones from the library and I fell in love with it, despite the OD on acoustic [I'm more of an electric girl meself].

Can't remember if you've seen it ... probably have already but that's last weeks MOD thing. So rad, I was two people over from the guy Dave Grohl jumped to hug in the crowd ... and during the interview when he moved his head to the side you can see my ugly face there with my retarded glasses lol.
