 | November 1st, 2006 at 07:01pm I taught my friend how to play Should I Stay Or Should I Go on guitar today after track. She was so excited because she never knew how to play it. She and I sat around in the middle of everyone trying to get home and do other things and she played (she's not very good) and I sang (waaaay off key I might add). And people were kept coming over and saying things like "Don't you know any Coldplay?" It was really fun though.... |

Yeah it's good, but then my sister got into it and I heard it too much from her. And then I heard the rest of X and Y from her too. And now I don't like 'em at all. |

Its when they play songs too much on TV, like Madonna and Coldplay, then I just cant stand that songs anymore. Or Keane... I cant stand Keane at all. |

But, I got sick of that. Seems like TV and the radio ruins things don't they? |

Yeah it seems to me that the media (ie tv and radio) kinda force-feed everyone all this pop-culture shit to people until they want to kill themselves. And then they move on the next fad and force-feed that. It's kinda a vicious cycle in that sense.
ANYWHO... earlier I went to the mall and I bought a new Sex Pistols bag and mom was like "See the Clash are good. They do good music. But why do you have to like the Pistols? They're disgusting!" She wants to read Passion Is A Fashion when I'm done...but that won't be for a while. |

Wow I'm jealous...both my parents hate them and hate that I like 'em. But I would be oh so slightly afraid if my mom started singin God Save The Queen. |

 | November 4th, 2006 at 10:13pm Yeah my parents both like the Clash. Dad even has some of their old vinyls. But they both hate the Pistols with a fiery passion. Once Mom told me to put them on in the car 'cause she wanted to hear them and she was like "Is the whole album like this? And you actually like this shit?" And I was like "well...yeah?" |

 | November 5th, 2006 at 10:33am Well my mom used to have their records, I cant say she likes it, she just knows it. She told me to put on some Clash stuff while the two us were cleaning the flat today so I put The essential Clash disc 2 coz I forgot to take disc 1 from my somp and disc 2 is better for her to listen to. Well, she liked Ghetto Defendant, but I hate when I have to socialize with her like that. |
