I saw some dude wearing a London Calling shirt yesterday, too. It was the one on the sleeve of the 45 of LC. He walked past me and I got all excited, pointed at him, and went "I LOVE YOUR SHIRT *scary grin*"
The kid goes "..haha...thanks." and walks away like I'm mad.

 | November 22nd, 2006 at 05:34pm Yeah today in the gorcery store this girl comes up to me and she was wearing those crazy hardcore boots and black skinny jeans and a leather jacket and she had a mohawk and she just looks at me and goes "Good shirt, kid." It was my Clash shirt. She and I actually ended up talking for a really long time about the Clash, specifically Joe. She goes to college now, but she's home for Thanksgiving. I love meeting cool people just because you end up wearing the right shirt at the right time. There's definitley a sense of community there because I doubt we would've ever talked unless we knew we had that shared interest. |

I give him a thumbs up and walk away. He gave me the creeps. o_o |

I think its maybe because Im young and all the other punk kids are older. I did have a great conversation with this heavy metal girl, mostly cause her friend told her everything about punk. So she acctually know who the Dead Ks are, Clash, Ramones ect. |

i don't really like tribute bands... its like... they're comparing themselves to a great band & making them seem crap in comparison I just see them as a band performing songs of a legendary band in their honour. |

Age: 33 Gender: Female Posts: 4761 | November 26th, 2006 at 09:11pm I used to despise tribute bands, but now I just think of them as normal people like us, who just jam out by playing songs by their favourite band--not a good idea for a career, but certainly a good way to better your playing etc etc |
