Ok, this has nothing to do with The Clash, but since you here are all music lovers, I need an advice. There will be a festival here that will feature Sonice Youth, NY Dolls and Iggy Pop & The Stooges. Should I go? Because I dislike old bands or reunions and I would have to chip a big amount of money for this. Maybe I wont even be in town, but just in case.

I mean you never know when you're going to have a chance to see a group of legendary bands like that ever again. Those bands are all pretty much living legends, and even if you don't like old bands, I'm sure they'll put on a great show. I've heard The Stooges are playing incredibly great shows these days. I'm really not that convincing since I just woke up and I can't really think yet, but I'd go. I also need advice - Toots And The Maytals are coming to my town next week, and I can't decide whether to go or not. I mean tickets are $50 and the venue is seated, which really sucks. I really want to hear them do Pressure Drop, though. Maybe I'll try to sneak in or get a job at the venue. Then I wouldn't have to pay. PS- sorry for bringing us more off topic.

I've been obsessed with the trilbys Paul's been wearing with TGTB&TQ, so I went and found one. And now I look like a '50's gangster. Oh well. After I went and got my Paul hat, I went into FYE, and when I walked in I heard White Riot. So I thought "well that's exciting" and then later on I suddenly heard Joe's voice saying, "In '68, the whole world was exploding...". So I was looking around like "HOLY HELL WHERE IS HE?!" and then I realized that they were playing the whole The Future Is Unwritten soundtrack. So I wandered around in FYE for the next 30 minutes so I could listen. And that was my day.

A couple years back, after seeing Paul wearing numerous berets, I went out and bought myself like 3 or 4 of them. Teehee. Paul is just so fashionable. He really is. He just sort of reeks coolness. I was in the grocery store with my hat on and this like mid-40's lady comes over and goes "Hey...I really like your hat" in the creepiest possible way. I was like "uhhh, thanks?!" But yeah, two of my friends immediately recognised it as a Paul hat, while everyone else was like "hey-cool hat, man. You look like a mobster." PS- a while back I ordered Havana 3 AM from Amazon and it just came in the mail yesterday. I really like them so far...and I like how you can hear Paul's bass real well in every song. Does anyone else listen to 'em?
