 | August 18th, 2007 at 03:43pm You know today I was thinking about The Clash and their modesty, and mostly about how they said that they'd never play stadiums because they didn't want their fans to be 'ripped off' for seats a mile away from the action. And I was listening to bootlegs and watching my DVD's and I sat there and I just thought, 'Screw you. I'd sell my top twenty most prized possesions just to be within a mile of you.'
I mean, the fact that they only ever played club gigs was like an added bonus for their fans, but they essentially could have played a stadium gig and pulled it off (which they argueably did for The Who).
Bless their modesty. |

Bless their modesty. I loved how Paul didn't want a comeback in the Hall of fame, cause he said that the tickets would cost too much. Actually I hate comebacks, even if they allow me to see some old band I didn't have a chance, but I loved how they wanted to make it cheap for the fans. |

I think my dad likes that song. When I got London Calling he was going over them and he's like: Lover's Rock is a good one too, I think. It was incredibly strange. |

That's a bit odd. Then again, so is that song. |
