OMGyes That dvd looks like it'd be awesome.

Me & my guitar teacher were talking about the clash today... well, he's never heard of them and he was like "So they're like the sex pistols? Power chords? Isn't their lead singer dead?"
Cheese

I don't remember what Rocker's Galore is! I'll have to re-watch that part & tell you all. Very Happy

I know they had a sort of. . . rarity album thing by the same name. It had a funky van/bus on it. There were a lot of interviews I believe. I don't know anything else though.

EDIT: ^ Indeed you do own.

K. SO. I checked. Very Happy Rocker's Galore is a reggae- Mikey Dread thing, with Mikey on vocals. I almost think he made it up off of the top of his head. Well. Anyway. There you are. Very Happy

So. While I was out lurking today, I happened to stumble upon a copy of Spin. Devoted nearly entirely to punk. There's a little thing about the Clash in there, a big photo of Mick & Joe playing and a little article in Mick's words. Very Happy It's pretty neat, I'd say.

There are also reunion type things of the key people in the London, New York, & LA scene. I don't know anything about LA, but the NY & London ones are pretty informative. Very Happy

EDIT: Upon closer inspection, it also had and section on essential pub rock which included the 101ers.

It's really short. Maybe if I become technologically adequate I'll be able to scan it in. Very Happy

The end is my favorite part. Mick says something along the lines of: "It was called new wave in New York, right? We all thought that was a new hair style. . ."
