Are you talking about the 7's or the P & H's?

P&H

pull-offs and hammer-ons.

hammer on is when you have (in that case) your first finger on 7 and the your third finger on 9 but you keep your first finger on the 7. so you hold seven and pick it and then you put your third finger on the 9 quickly while still holding the 7 down.

a pull off is the reverse of that. you have your third finger on 9 and first on 7, you pick then 9 and then lift off your finger so it then plays the note of the 7th fret.

You own at explaning.

There is a lesson that is really good out there somewhere, not that there's anything wrong with Deanie's excellent explanation, but the lesson has EXAMPLES! =O

Hey, thanks for the explanation. It's not like I've never done that, lol, but I never bothered to find out what that's called. Thanks a lot. Very Happy

DRUMS BIATCHES.

Cym=cymbal(not specific)
C= crash (followed by # equals another crash,
if the drummer has 2 crashes, #2 would be the lower/deeper sound)
R= Ride (same number deely)
CC or Ch= China cymbal
Sp= splash
HH= Hi-hat
HHF, or HF, or F= hihat foot pedal (may be seen in hihat line, or may be seperate line)
CB= Cowbell
BR= bell ride (not the bell of a ride, an actual cymbal that is all bell)

S=snare
T=tom(same #dealy as cymbals)
FT= Floor tom, seperat from the other toms)
B= Bass (#s dont HAVE to mean pitch, as double bass is normally just for speed,
but if their is two tones #2 will be deepest)

ON THE LINES-
cymbals-
x= hit
b= bell of whichever cymbal
capital "X"= accented hit (harder)
f=hihat foot pedal (may be seen in hihat line, or may be seperate line)

drums-
o=hit
capital "O"= accented
r= rimshot
b= buzz-roll
Oo= flam (two hits at almost the same time, first hit is harder than last)

BASIC BEATS- ignore the dots before some of the letters, they are just to keep it aligned.

I think guitar tabs are stupid. Its soooooo much easier to just have the chords and then figure out the fingering. PLus most times tabs are inaccurate and or the writers guitar is tuned differently than yours. Its soo annoying to have to tune your guitar all over again.

I can't do any of that stuff.

I can't even tell if I've done a hammer-on right..

Can you even do them on acoustics?

Okay, but most songs don't have chords... Like say Wake me up when september ends.

Is
-----

-----

A chord?

Nah uh.

Are they really stupid? I mean, is it stupid that people have an easy and accurate way of reading music?

Or is it stupid that you can't be bothered to read them? -_-

As for the tuning, that's life dude.

Well, it's better with electric because then it echoes well. Usually with accoustic, the sound stops once you touch the string again. Sort of.

So do you think tab is easier than cords?

I'm having trouble trying to decide which one to do.

Tabs are very easy, once you memorize where all the frets are. as in like...the numbers. o_o

you can get it pretty well on the acoustic but you have to hammer on kinda hard and really close to the fret.
