BOOK / MOVIE: Harry Potter

I hated that they cut so much out of the fourth movie. It was my favorite book.

But yeah, I have to reread the sixth one a few times. I've only read it twice. I need to get at least seven times in before July 21.

...yeah. I read every book like, 10 times already. *cough*

I just reread the sixth and now I don't want to read anything else =/ I just want to keep it fresh in my mind.

Has anyone read The Magical Words of Harry Potter by David Colbert?

If you haven't, read it BITCH. I bought it two years ago and it was an extra treat cuz I love HP and I love mythology and puzzles. According to the second edition, published in 2003, the last word of Deathly Hallows is "scar". It may have changed since then, but at that time, it was given in an official statement by Ms. Rowling.

They really are. They went downhill by the third movie. i mean, the first and second were good as far as a book adaptation goes, but once Richard Harris (that was teh old Dumbledor, right? ) died and they got the new directer things kind of went bust for me movie-wise. The fourth movie only made sense if you had read the book, because otherwise it was hard to make sense of it.

I wonder if some of the old ... old ... old HP thread junkies have visited this new HP thread.
I'm talking about the junkies that were on the House Quidditch teams and Prefects.
(I'm the Gryfinndor Seeker and Prefect.)
Anybody remember what I'm talking about? I think it was back before the release of the fourth movie.

HP 1 and 2 were directed by him and they were the best.

Well, my favorite books have been the third and fourth ones. My favorite movie was the first one. The fourth one wasn't very good, and the fifth one will probably be worse. I'm rereading the fifth book right now before it comes out, and I'm rereading the sixth before the last book comes out.

I do, however, recall being a member on many Harry potter sites. Like muggle.net.

Anyway, I hope the new actors are good in the new movie. I (already) don't like who they chose for Umbridge, but hopefully everyone else is good.

That predicament doesn't happen to me because now I usually read Harry Potter when i can't sleep or in the summertime. So even the familiar words are comforting
