The movies were never absolutely similiar to the books.
Think about it's a movie and people, who didn't read the books or saw the movies before, need to understand it too..
And I guess he was having a vision there. . . |

Sirius was barely in it at all.
And the Priori Incantem or whatever wasn't explained well.
I guess they didn't want to make the movie over 3 hours long.... |
