Well, if you're just starting out you would want an acoustic. They usually run about $300-$800.

I reccoment a Fender or Gibson, but that's just me.

Yeah Fender or Gibson. But the best between them is personal preference. Fender's are cheaper.

Well my opinion is you shouldn't buy a new guitar if your still new. How many years have you played?

Well if your new, you dont really know if the whole guitar scene is for you. you really dont want to blow your money on some kick ass guitar and then realise that you hate playing. i sujust maybe borrowing someone else, or buying something cheap that will serve your purpose until you really think, know, that you want to do this.

I started off with a squier. Those are good for when you're just starting out.

hmmmm... I recomend a.... cheap electric. No use going all out and spending that much cash on a guitar if your not gonna play it often. Take me for example, I went through a stage where I got alot of guitars and then just didnt put the practice in, though im aiming to practice more now.

id go for a yamaha for a first guitar thinking about it. You can get them with grover tuners and seymour duncans for about £350 i think. They look good aswell. yamaha AES series i think it is.
