Why don't they mix it up instead of playing the exact same set with the same songs they played last time they were in the country? They really should lose those covers too, Green Day have got too many awesome songs to waste on covers.

Boo Green Day, boo.

^ sigh... there's no qustion that I don't agree with you completely...I wish they'd break out some of the old classics like 1,000 Hours, Best Thing In Town, Haushinka, and I Was There

But in saying that, I wouldn't really mind THAT much, a Green Day concert is a Green Day concert after all! Very Happy (well to me, anyway! Wink )

Excuse me, I Fought The Law is not on the usual set list, and Billie has said 47654 times that they will be doing something big for the Melb show. Please wait until Sunday to complain.

It's stil a useless cover. Imagine they replaced it with Jinx/Haushinka? How fucking awesome would that be?

yeah but i guess they wanna show that they are versatile and can play some other shit and ppl would recognise that song a lot more than say Haushinka..most of the ppls there are teenies so yeah. pfft thats just how i justify it. i do wish they would ditch some of the covers tho. but keep Shout. i love when they do that!!

But their covers are actually pretty good in my opinion. I think they should play longer. Didn't they used to play like four hour shows?

holy fuck..4 hours??? omg they would be like dying by the end of that. well maybe they did do that..it just seems like a fucking long time to perform for. yeah i would love them to play longer too but it would be too tireing on them and then they would prolly start to suck and get lazy.

To my recollection, they've never played a 4 hour show...last night's went for about 2:15, which is pretty much the standard.

Oh, and they did Give Me Novacaine, which isn't on the usual set list. I really wanted Maria and maybe 2000 LYA. I think I love the American Idiot cd even more, now. Although I did love it before. But yeah...if you want other songs, go download and old gig. And it's true not many people would recognise other songs, barely anyone knew She and Brain Stew, and they were both on 'Nash Hits. If they did Jinx or something, I honestly think that less then a couple thougsand people would know it. And we're talking about a 37, 000 crowd here. Hello, I've started rambling again.

Whoever's bitching about a predictable setlist, the MIlton Keynes gig i was at (Sunday 19th) was the biggest gig Green Day have EVER played and we didnt get the songs i highlighted. Thats a bloody good setlist, be freakin' grateful.
