Hello there I'm your friendly neighbourhood moderator, and forum chief of this section. Here are the do's and don't, please read before posting or I will hunt you down with sticks....big pointy sticks.

The Specific section is here for responsible, important discussions and debates, everyones thoughts and opinions will be tolerated, you have every right to disagree. If you want to spout out racial slurs fair enough just don't expect to get a warm reception.
Rule 1: All spam will be deleted. There are forums avaliable for idle chat and to talk about the band so use them.
Rule 2: When posting a new topic you must first check to make sure it's not a duplicate and you MUST post your own opinion so that a debate may begin.
Rule 3:This is also not a section dedicated to the political minds of Green Day, if you wish to discuss that you go to the Green Day section.
Rule 4:Be careful with what you use as evidence. Feel free to use whatever person or piece of literature you want but if found faulty you will be asked to back up your findings with a more logical source.
Rule 5:You are open to critisism at all times, if someone feels the need to destroy your argument they may do so. However it cannot get personal, attack the argument not the person.
Rule 6: NO BLANK QUOTES, it's considered spam, if you agree with someone, then add to the discussion don't just repeat.
Rule 7: Please try to add something to the discussion, One lined sentences are merely statements of the obvious and do not help a debate progress.
We do not force the rule that chat speak is not allowed but we ask you to try and not use it.
Locking and Deleting
With most threads a Mods word is final, however if you think your thread has been unfairly removed you contact the mod who locked it, if they cannot give a straight forward reason for removing it, contact me or antoher mod who can then judge for her/himself.
What to do when posting
Steph 1: Check it's not a duplicate
Steph 2: Pick a title that is not long winded and make sense to the discussion
steph 3: Include a source relevant to the discussion
steph 4: Write a statement that sums up the topic.
steph 5: Write your opinion on the subject, include relevant quotes or opinions from experts.
steph 6: preview to make sure it makes sense then submit.
Enjoy yourself and if their are any problems PM me and I will do what is in my power to sort out the situation.

That was nicly put, the personal attacks part was needed, people get carried away. and I laugh every time I see your avatar ever since I saw the cartoon on VH1 where the smurfs were bombed by war,
Maybe they wanted to be politicans, and look what happend....

I think we need a thread devoted to creating threads-- what's appropriate, what's not, and what you should include in the first post of a thread in SD. That would be really helpful. Noob threads are making me crazy, and the number of threads that have been locked in the last two weeks is a little ridiculous (in my mind, at least).

It doesn't worry me. Leave the mods to take care of it, all it takes is a little lock and away it goes.
But instead of making a new thread maybe this one could be adapted if needs be.

anything that is not allowed i've tried to put in this topic opening, but if i've missed anything feel free to tell me.
The main problem is duplicates and you can't force people to check the section you just got to hope that people use common sense.
