My mom is the one who got me into it! I was 7, and she and my sister who was like 12 were watching it and they told me to watch. No wonder why I am who I am today. =D
And your Columbia dressup thing it awesome. My neighbor and sister and I redid some of the songs. From Damnit Janet to the Floor Show. It was hilarious. I was Riff, FranK N Furter and Columbia for some parts. And for Halloween last year I was Magenta.
I looove RHPS.
O M G Renting it - that is just so WRONG. You must get your ass out to a theater and SEE it...it's all about the experience. I saw it in the theater every Saturday night for 2 years straight - it was the best time, the parties after (that's another thread).
I remember one month - Tim Curry was in town and we invited him to come to the theater but he wouldn't even return our phone calls. Barry Bostwick liked the idea when he was in town too but didn't come and Susan...well she seems to distance herself from it (or so I get that vibe).
I love that film...the best, especially in the theater with everyone screaming, is when Dr. Frank-N-Furter is in the elevator and we see him for the first time - that is amazing!
