Sanity Geek Age: 32 Gender: Female Posts: 418	December 30th, 2005 at 10:21am i think they are horribl they hurt and abuse animals unnessaraley with electric prods and heavy objects.people who pay to see them are saying its right. but thats circuses on the whole not all of them are like this but the majority are!

Those animals should be in the wild , running around for miles, where they belong, not in the back of a truck.

I would MUCH rather dead then be being hurt and have to jump through rings of fire and when it's over get into a cage. i think, im not positive, but i think in most countries those circuses would be illegal. in the case of animal abuse. but a lot of cirscuses that have performing animals, they do take care of them. i mean, yes sometimes, to travel from place to place, the animals would have to be shoved in small trailers etc. but on the whole, i think they're kept quite well.

They're only found in Africa and Idia. Sorry to correct you, just had to.

It's like people. Some like to be free and run around...others like to follow the crowd, fit in etc.

If any of the animals were captured, then it is cruel and inhimane, if they were bread in captivity, then it could possibly be ok. Animals like humans, plain and simple. If an animal is born in captivity it grows up around people and they enjoy the company, they like performing, it gives them confidence and they think they are doing something good. Sadly, people take advantage of this and abuse the animals and let them live in horrible conditions. Most animals in circuses are treated awfully and its very wrong, however there are some that put the profits to good causes and take care of there animals very nicely and it is a win, win situation, however that hardly ever happens.
